I don't know if it is the same for anyone else but I've really noticed in the last few days a massive rise in the number of farms selling eggs in the DD.
At one point, I opened the newspaper and all but one farm in there was selling eggs. I want to see more than that :(
I've noticed the same thing. I think I've rubbed off my fingerprint searching through the ads only to find eggs everywhere. Why is everyone only selling eggs?
I've noticed it too. I've had a few papers where there were only a couple of things that weren't eggs.
Just wait till the current double coins for visitors ends. Everyone is keeping their stuff to sell to them to build up coins.
The appearance of eggs always increases with a Visitor Double Coins event. Everyone is selling all of the items (including eggs) that they would have otherwise put into the DD, exclusively to the Little People for the extra coinage, which is much higher than could be obtained from the DD. However, eggs are almost always the primary product and source of income for new farms, so we always have more of these than anything else, except maybe wheat.
Ads are randomly chosen from a huge pool of ads, and redistributed into thousands of DDs (no two people will have the same one). During special events, the variety and amount of ads is reduced, leaving the amount in the pool drastically lower than normal and with a limited amount to redistribute. This causes us to see the same products everywhere, none of other products, and even repeats of ads.
Once the event is over, more variety should return to the DD. Also, all the random things in the game rotate, i.e. what item you get the most of when harvesting, what item you get the most of from the toolboxes, etc. It is the same with the DD...what we see the most of rotates. It may be wheat for several days, then switch to strawberries (or did until they added new products), then switch to eggs, then berry cakes, back to wheat, etc.
I agree the DD is very dull at the moment but I for one am glad of the abundance of eggs for sale!
As we are limited to only 2 feed mills, something has to give. I find it more helpful to load up the feed mills with cow, sheep, pig and goat feed only. Since eggs are so readily available in the DD there is no need to make chicken feed.

It's strange because I've had a lot of visitors asking for me eggs so I assumed that's what would be happening to other people. In fact, that's what the visitors usually ask of me so I have no problems with being over run with eggs. Won't be buying the 3rd hen house mind!
I as a low level player is benefiting from these all egg ads ;) My barn is full of saw/axe/mine items so no visitor asking for other goodies. I never ever put egg/bacon on DD (and I don't even make b&e other than truck order), only hot or "semi hot" items. In the past, those semi hot items can last for an hour to sell, but for these few days even my blue shirts, lavendars, milks, are selling like crazy. And those cakes/jucies/pies sell before I can even blink. Nothing in my stall stays for more than 2 minutes! I guess because I'm the only few "varieties" other than eggs ppl can see!
Why are all these people still putting eggs up for maximum amounts! When there is a surplus of something, reduce the price. I needed some for a boat. Yes I have plenty of money at this point but I refuse to over pay! Just because it is allowed to go to 180 does not mean you have to charge that much. Bought a few that were sensibly priced and waited till my own were done. Some people are losing sales due to greed. Can understand lower levels doing this because they need more money but long time, high level players are doing it too. Makes No Sense to me!
