I am currently a TH9 with everything maxed apart from heroes, my AQ is 26 and my BK is going to 22, just wondering if I should max them fully before going to TH10, because all I need now is DE and BoH, I feel like I am wasting alot of resources when I am just attacking for DE, as my gold grab and elixir escapade are both around 700 million.

You could. Your heroes are high enough. DE is easier in th10.
It's more of a personal choice. I'd have waited atleast till BK was 25 for the ability.
Im also very biased towards th9 as it was a very fun townhall for me. Th10 wasn't that great for me, war wise. Th11, I'm yet to war. So.... Fond memories of th9.
If you don't want to stop & smell the roses in th9, then upgrade!
If your goal is ultimately to have a fully max base then you should upgrade. If you like th9 there really isn’t a right or wrong answer. But you should do fine as a th 10 if you move up now
I think it is a clan choice myself. :)
If you are fully maxed then I would encourage you to go to TH10 because you're already drawing Th10 to war. Or making it more likely. I never max defenses until I'm ready to go to the next TH for that very reason.
It's easier to get the dark once you have your miners up to level 2 and three is far better. It used to be hard for a new TH10 but with engineering it's not so bad any more. When I took my 8.5 to ten I had a very hard time. But that was about a year ago. I hardly ever got to attack a nine.
I took a very rushed TH9 to TH10 and didn't have any problem at all getting loot. It's now a rushed Th11 (for troop donations).
If it will help my clan, I would go to TH10 if it will not help the clan, I would not go. But that's just my way of thinking. My thinking changed after I became a clan leader. Nothing is about what's best for me any more. :)
Thought of something else, I also have a TH9 with max heros. I became a MUCH better attacker with max heros. :P It's not the attacker it's the Royals.

If it was me I'd go so as not to waste resources but others like the feeling of completing each town hall level before moving on to the next.
^^^ This. TH10 isn't great for war, but you'll be missing out on a large chunk of the game if you stay at TH9, particularly if it's your first/only account.Quote:

I am also finding myself in a similiar situation.
I am max(23/29 heroes) . Completed lab th9. My clan and friends wants me to stay at th9 and war but I want to explore th10 and above.

+1..All good posts, but I like this one. Is speaking both from experience, and as a clan leader. As leader, you have to sacrifice what is better for you up to a point. If a 9 is needed in war, you stay put, if you need more defence or firepower as a team, you jump. Can start the grind once you get there. I do lab, cc, spell factory, camps, and new walls first, doesn't appear to change the spin, so far as I have noticed. Then I work on upgrading point and air before dropping new stuff. But the choice is yours, you are in a good place right now.Quote:

Yes you should max. The resources you are “wasting” are not actually real. Think of it that way. Use heavy dragon comps to raid specifically for de and you’ll knock out both heroes faster than you’d ever believe. I have a perma-max th9, a fully maxed th10 that I just moved to th11, and also have nine other accounts ranging from max th8 to th11 that I’ve both maxed and rushed. Trust me, everything goes faster when you finish the job right.
Read the other 50+ posts where people ask if they should max TH9....Here are 2 very recent ones....with lots of opinions. Frankly don't feel like writing the normal response for the "who knows how many" time. fyi...this post will get moved to tactics and strategy...so go there and find lots of these types of posts.

For me, I find TH10 a lot easier to farm resources and you should be able to get your heroes upgraded quicker than staying at TH9. The only reason to stay at TH9 is you’re in a serious war clan and they need TH9s in their lineup. GL either way!
On the other hand, the resources you are 'wasting' could be lighting the lab up, unlocking bowlers and building more walls and defences. Just saying......Quote:

But most clasers I think would prefer to have fun at every TH and do some sort of cross between rushing and maxing. I know I did and I'm now 24 wall segments from a fully maxed out TH11.

Engineering is the worst.
New th11 here with 25/22/1 heroes. I have no problems at all getting resources. I'd say you would be fine to rush to th11 even if you really wanted.
War might be another story though. I don't do that.
You should move on to 10 OP as farming for resources is lot easier with mass miners there.
