Hi guys,
I am a half rushed th 8 with fairly good defenses and offenses
Player Tag #9UL2R92LR
My question is :even with max air defenses for my th why do dragons still 3 star my base?
plz give me suggestions on how to avoid 3 stars.
p.s literally everyone uses lightning takes 1 ad down and attacks.
I suggest spreading out ad’s and placing air bombs near them. (also make sure to upgrade those air bombs)
Side Note- make sure you have troops in cc for defense like wizards or even a baby dragon
TH8 is 3* gameplay. There are things you can do to make it more difficult for dragons, but there aren’t very many ways to prevent a 3* with dragons if someone is skilled.
Doesn't matters what level ur defences are a good player can always 3 star u...Inspite of having a descent base design the other thing u can do is just sit and watch...maybe that helps..
There are very Few layout for Mass dragon Attack with 80% chance of 2 star but a skilled dragon Attack can 100 percent 3 star on that bases
When I was th8(3 years ago) I had an anti dragon base that 90% of attackers got 1 star with a high %on it, It was a ring shaped base with th, ad, cc and sweepers in the center, then every other building is 5 tiles away from the center.
I have two maxed th8s.
Only a couple times have I failed to 3 star a th8 base, no matter if it was maxed or not.
Best advice would be find the best anti dragon base,and hope they make mistakes attacking.

No way you will stop all dragon attacks at th8, but what generally works is having your ADs separated in a triangle, with your sweeper blowing from one of the ADs onto the other two. Like this:

Try and cover your ADs with some high HP structures, like storages, and put your cc dead center of the base, as unlurable as possible. This way opposing dragons will keep hanging on the storages, while defenses are pummeling them. Good luck!
focus on your other air defences like archer tower and wiz tower. By the time you have them all maxed for TH8 you should be able to hold off another TH8 dragon attack but then you'll be beaten by hogs.
Sweeper placement helps a lot, as does forcing your opponent to go though high hp storages to get to the ADs.
high level Tesla’s and archer towers also help a ton in slowing down the 3 star rate from dragons
occasionally corner builder huts can result in the 99% 2 star if attacker forgets to account for them
True, but lately i haven't seen many using all hogs
