Doesn't this thread break rule 21 of the forum rules. I certainly didn't click on it to be told there was no update information available!!!

Not sure why you think that, the title indicates update information and that’s exactly what is provided in the OP: an accurate summary of what is known and an accurate accounting of a widely circulated “leak” confirmed false. I believe it’s posted in the spirit of public service to help those newer members coming to the forum in providing accurate info rather than the threads that are hype, speculation, leaks etc.

If you’re concerned anything breaks a rule then PM a mod or report it, rather than replying in the thread. They’ll set you straight if you’re wrong.

hopefully not like last year second village without any warning or sneak peeks.

Would be nice to get general features the devs are working on in advance, so the community isn’t left in the dark for months on end. Never liked their side of communication on this part.

A lot of other games will release what they are working on in advance and things to look forward to, even if they change on the target date as long as they provide details on why they couldn’t include something at that time.

Not sure why it’s all hush hush, never have. Would give the tubers something to talk about, as well as a proper timeline on how long it does take to develop certain things.

To me the development cycle is taking way to long. 3 years to come up with a new troop is way to long. Over a year without any content for the main base is to long. I appreciate the QOL updates, but those aren’t meaty updates. Surely, we should be in store for something MASSIVE at this point.

For months now, I only log in to do wars. I’m sure clan games was a way to spark more activity, and I do hit the reqs for my clan for them to profit.

But it comes down to this: am I having as much fun as I did when I started? No.

Am I spending anything on the game? No.

And the lack of communication by the developers is just disheartening for something taking so long.

Definition of clickbait. : something (such as a headline) designed to make readers want to click on a hyperlink especially when the link leads to content of dubious value or interest.

The title indicates 'new update information' - only the least optimistic would read it as 'new update' pause 'information'. It directly suggests that the OP has new information about the update rather than suggesting what he posted which was essentially 'SC has said nothing, I got nothing' :)

I'm not suggesting it's intentional as the OP has nothing to gain but it's definitely misleading to the average forum reader.

I don't really think that's what he meant, nothing like "preview of the coming update in few days/weeks".
I think it's more like a "roadmap" for nexts months.

Not really detailled info, no dates, only months (like your "before half of this year" is already an awesome info !), no real detail about content so they can makes changes withouth make the community feel betrayed.

I think that's this kind of info he is asking :)
