Recent Contributors in Global Events

I would like to request that the ability to visit farms through the recent contributors tab during global events be removed.

I don’t see this feature serving any purpose other than enabling players to visit a farm that’s not on their friends/followers list and purchase any and all (usually all) products in a particular RSS. RSS products that have purposely not been advertised in the DD.

After almost two years of playing HD, and never knowing how unknown people were finding my farm and ‘raiding’, it was finally brought to my attention during the recent fishing event. During which I had two such ‘visitors’. Already today, with barely 12 hours into the town event, two unknown players have cleaned out my RSS.

As I’m sure you’re aware, this is a hot issue for many players, and I do understand both sides. However, giving players who are self confessed raiders ‘for fun’, an easy pathway into farms does not seem fair or necessary.

Please consider removing this tab during global events so that we all can enjoy participating.

I would love this tab to be removed. When I said the other day that I didn’t see what purpose it served except stripping unadvertised shops you wouldn’t otherwise find, some people said they liked to be able to visit these farms to help them and accepted the fact that it might lead to their shop being stripped. It is a hot issue...and I hate not to participate in the global events, but having been stalked recently which is still affecting how I play, it’s really made me reluctant to take part. When it’s a town global event, I am partcipating by default because I like to work my town as much as possible.

I would love a facility to block these “raiders”...I have found to my cost that the block button is not effective enough as my stalker can still access my farm. So, yes...please, please consider removing the recent contributor tab.

Don't have to remove... just have to break the link, don't allow access to the farms from that tab. The tab can continue to serve its original function, to recognize contributors.

Nooooooo! Please leave that feature in. Farmers can visit your farm in other ways, like using the boat leader board ( OK you can only see a few farms that way, lol, so chances of getting raided are slim). I love looking at farms via recent contributors in the events tab so that I can get some ideas to change my layout. Not everyone who uses this raids RSS. It is also a great way to get a derby help task done quickly if an event is on and nobody in your hood is active due to timezones differences.

I attracted 3 new “buy my shop out” players in this event. Glad it’s over. I stopped doing my town for 2 days, then stopped selling anything. I dislike that a feature like this makes me change the way I play and has no benefit for me. I imagine it won’t get removed, but I can always hope!

I had 4 in total. Like you mentioned, I had to change the way I play as well. (I work town constantly) After #3, I made sure my RSS was empty, then posted 1 brown sugar and 1 white. Then flagged a bunch of nectar bushes I had saved up. As soon as I came back from town, both sugars were gone and nectars were still flagged. There MAY be 1% using this feature as Twiglet mentioned above, but it’s for raiding. Plain and simple. You can look at others farms and finish a help task from the DD.

Unless there’s a special deco involved that I want, I will not be participating in any future events. I’m glad this one’s over too.

How long does one have to wait before their farm disappears from the running contributors tab? At least maybe we can work our RSS sales around participating in the event by waiting until we're safe before selling in our RSS.

I have not studied the recent contributors tab extensively, however, it shows farms I am familiar with starting with the first one and every other one, so I recongnise 1, 3, 5, 7 and 9. All others are random farms that I can visit if I wanted to.

your farm will stop showing at event end

i totally agree - please remove this access if they are not my friends I don't want them in my shop or on my farm

another vote for the removal of access...as KK has said, i have to change my style of play purely for the events i participate in so i'm not robbed.

it's a pity because as someone has said above, i too like to see layouts and get inspiration from other farms and recent contributors is just another avenue, along with the DD...If the developers don't listen i suppose i shall just have to leave my stands empty during the events i play, but, it would be nice to prevent buyouts if possible.

again my shop got raided from this - please fix so that you cannot visit farms with this feature. Keep it for what it was design for to recognize those who participate and not for recent contributors to get raided by voltures

It affects normal gameplay and therefore takes the fun & relaxation out of the game.
