Same version for all players?

I reckon that there are different versions of the game, some with crow (raven), some without.

On my ipad, I have the crow, freezing the game terribly at start up. My friendlist is still unusable (freezing), newspaper freezes when opening, lots of auto reloads, fishing area difficulties etc This is not a memory problem as the single phenomena appeared with specific updates and e.g. Help request list as well as followers list are never freezing.

I'd like to kindly ask when a version which doesnt have all the issues will be released for everyone?

I've noticed that I have to completely quit out the app (not just close it) when that starts happening. When it gets bad enough I completely quit all apps then restart my iPad. So far that has worked every time.

I've lost the crow flying in too. I don't miss him. He freezes up my farm every time so I am glad to see him gone.

He has just started freezing my farm, but I still have him. We like him, but we don't like his effect SOMETIMES :)

It is not only the crow, the version I am playing has lots of bugs on both the farm and the fishing area. Would be nice getting a response from Supercell if and when they intend to roll out a smoother version for everyone. Thanks.

From what I've noticed, the crow comes when the app needs some extra time to load. I have have it with very few exceptions. My theory is that it depends on how "heavy" your farm is. I have lots of stuff on my farm, orchards and the sha-bang. So I've had lots of issues, not with the fishing area but with the games freezing when I browse the newspaper or sometimes even when I pull my friends bar up. I can't visit any friends because the ehole game freezes and it's been that way ever since I came back from my break, probably around a month now. I can only visit people through the exclamation bar and it really sucks!

same here. Not sure if this has to do with loaded farm as it also happened during redecoration and I had almost no trees, bushes and deco items. and the phenomena occured with certain updates so it must be related to the code not to the number of items.

And anyway, why should the number of trees etc influence some part of the friend list but not not others? Thank God, exclamation mark section works fine, otherwise it would be impossible to play at all.

In the fishing area, some spots allow the fish pic to be clicked away, some dont. THat for sure is a coding issue, as there is no way to decorate there.

I would like to have a response from SC, and I really wonder why they dont reply.

My theory is as follows:

I got the crow whenever I open the app for the first time (after force closing) hence Hay Day need time to load data on device memory. Other times are a simple wake up from sleep state (Hay Day is running in background).

A "heavy" farm needs more memory than others and may cause freezing, crashing if device is not "powerful" enough. I have one neighbor with farm full of tree. Whenever I go there, my game slow down. Helas, people keeps reporting crashes but usually forgets to report the device model and iOS version. Their device don't have the same memory (RAM) nor the same processor (the recent model has the faster processor). On my android phone, Hay Day alone takes about 200MB of RAM while it is running. Memory need for Hay Day grows with new updates and more items, more interaction. In a recent update, it appears that iPhone 4 only have low resolution graphics (blurred when you zoom in) to avoid crashes. Otherwise, Hay Day will not be able to run on those device anymore.

While other apps are in background, in iOS7, they can load data to display the newest info when you open it again. Even if you make Hay Day the only app running, there are many others services you cannot control such as the one who check your mail, get notification pushed to your device, maintain 3G/4G connexion.... . All of them share memory and processor with Hay Day and can affect the game some how. Apple keeps saying the latest device's processor is XX times faster than the previous one, there must be a reason to that.

In the fishing area, if you move on a free spot and tap on it to display lures BEFORE the picture appears, you cannot make the picture go away anymore. Probably this is the way the game is designed: when you choose to fish, you give up the option tap-to-hide. In fact, you can already drag the lure in the water and start fishing with picture hiding the view.

The crow comes when you are starting up the app. If you are merely reloading, the startup splash screen (the one that includes the crow) does not appear, only the reload splash screen will appear. The startup takes longer than the reload. Don't blame the crow!

As long as SC doesnt confirm that the crow is generated locally on client side in order to make some time, I see no reason to believe that.

You didnt discuss the phenomenon that the friend list is freezing and all RSS/farms visited via friend list but not the follower list nor the exclamation mark list. That surely is a bug and not a memory problem, at least it is hard to believe that my ipad has a selective memory?

Those bugs as you described did not happen to me, therefore my theory is purely speculation.

What I can speculate is Follower list, Exclamation Mark list (once friend list load) and the farms you follow is directly available on the server. FB friend and GC friends require a connexion between Hay Day and FB/ GC using communication protocol developed by FB and Apple. How long does it take to load picture and to load the complete list also depends on the internet connexion and how big is the list. Some loading is triggered on demand (when you scroll through follower list or visit one of them). Every time I launch Hay Day, I can only see blue frame friends at first, others come few seconds later.

Again, there may be other reason that I'm not aware of but I don't believe it is a bug (what is not intended to be or an unexpected behaviour). I see it as unoptimized performance of the game on a given platform with given memory space and given processor capacity in a given context.

I believe the crow is the animation for when loading the game from fresh. If u keep the game running in multi tasking (ie u dont shut it down by swiping up the app after double tapping the home button ios7) u shouldn't see our friend the crow too often. Unless the app crashes or u turn the phone on/off.

I have noticed that since I installed Hay Day, my iPad occasionally starts jerking around like this (very slow, jerky movements). I just restart the iPad and it clears up though, so no biggie.
