I have an iPhone 7 on iOS 11.3 and on the latest update it will freeze when opening the app and the app has to be force closed and reopened. A friend with an iPhone 7+ on iOS 11.3 also experiences the same issue.

After the update, when I go to harvest crops, the game will completely freeze for a few seconds at a time. Some are very short, like 1 or 2 seconds, but a few have been upwards of 5 seconds. I did some testing and this is not a device issue.
I have a Sprint Galaxy S7.
-The device has been rebooted.
-It occurs whether connected to Wi-Fi or 4G LTE.
-I have closed / terminated other apps to free up resources.
-Battery is at 100%.
-No other application I run is freezing in such a manner.
-This seems to occur mostly when a bonus item pops up.
-No other in-game function seems to have any issues (that I am aware of).

Looks like an bug after the new update, have the same on 3 different samsung android devices.
+ to that, same... when picking up crops i freeze for couple seconds. Using amazon fire.
Same here, all 3 android: samsung galaxy tablet, lenovo tablet and an Sony Xperia phone, so cant be just one device issue. I am glad i am not alone. The game is making me a horrible person lol.

I'm having a similar issue, lots of "lag spikes" - using a 4th gen kindle fire HD, completely up to date, no other issues with it. The problem started after maintenance today. I was tolerating the lag spikes, but after a while, the game actually crashes now, so I thought I should come by and report it.
This happens on my android mobile and my ipad air 2 as well. I keep doing actions i don't want to because of this so it's a bit of a game breaker

Yes, mine is an iPad mini 2 running on iOS 9.3.5. I am having this same problem. Two other people in my neighborhood not on Apple devices are also having the same problem. There are two threads in bugs about this now. One for android and one for iOS.

Just a quick update:
I have the game loaded on a 16GB iPhone 5 (ATT; No service; using on Wi-Fi only) and it exhibits no issues that I am aware of.
When I get home from work, I would be happy to load up Hay Day on my old Asus TF300 tablet to test if that exhibits the same issue as my Samsung phone.
It freeze here as well. Quite annoying.

Happens mostly when I'm planting and/or collecting crops.
Game has intermitent freeze / lag during game play after update.
I just came here to post the same thing! I've noticed it mostly happens when I'm planting or harvesting crops. It often leads to my finger getting "stuck" on a field and accidentally dragging it somewhere else.
FWIW, my device is an Android, less than 6 months old, I'm not running any other apps at the same time and should have plenty of memory.

Yeah, we have noticed quite a few reports of these coming in so we are investigating! Keep the information coming (which device, which operating system, and under which conditions this happens.)

If I harvest only 9 or 12 wheat it doesn't happend.
But if I harvest a lot .... all 135 fields /i.e./ and the wheat is flying into the silo... the screen is freezing ... for a second or two...
sometimes just a blink of an eye..
The same if I try to sow.

This feels like server issues. You fixed it before. Come on and fix this too :-)
It’s not the usual post update lagging or crop thing. It’s totally different. It’s hiccuping when sowing crops, it’s odd.
Is it linked to an attempt to stop BOTS?

It's not just happening while harvesting & sowing. Also happening while harvesting honeycomb. I gave away a lot of saws to one of the visitors because it lagged/froze while attempting to send them away..... I'm just thrilled about that 🙄

Players of our German Forum report that the Game freezes while harvesting Crops since the Update came out.
This sounds like a Bug.
Althrough they reported to the Support, but they answer "empty your cashe" just Standard Answers which aren't helpfull bcs the Problem ist still there. 😕

Same for me, my hoodies, and my son. All getting the harvesting and collecting hiccups. iOS completely updated.

It looks like a general problem... everyone in my neighborhood is affected. I am always puzzled when problems so widespread arent caught before releasing an update... I mean, harvesting is the first thing you do in the game. How could this bug go unseen? This probably just show how much I dont know about how these things work, and I should just have faith and wait, and SC will fix this one too, as they always do....
Anyway... please prioritize this... please. Harvesting is the most relaxing/rewarding/addicting action in the game, and - since the update - it is not fun anymore, because the game keeps freezing, it's annoying, so annoying it makes me put down the tablet. Please fix it soon. Thank you 💕
Sus, they probably cant fix anything without disrupting the derby. Just my guess, im confident we will get the fix monday.
On my side, it acts like this: if i harvest plot by plot, the hickup is there but barely noticeable. It's effect ramps up with ampler harvesting sweeps, the longest freeze duration happens when i harvest my 90 plots all in one quick swoop.
Happens to me as well on both iOS devices:
iPad Air 2 running iOS 11.3
iPhone 7plus running iOS 11.3
It is not a permanent freeze, but definitely gets held up for a bit.

Just a very big annoying bug related to the last big update... for sure that may haven't been priorly tested before launching the update to production!
I am having the same problem since I installed the latest 2018 upgrade. Game freezes for 1-5 seconds whenever I harvest multiple crops. If you don't take care, you are dragging items all over you farm once the game resumes.Quote:

My game is hopeless at this point. It was acting up some...then more last night. Now this morning it has completely crashed four times in just a few minutes of play. Most of the time when I'm trying to load the machines. It is like the touch part of the game has gone all wonkie. If I hold a product to see what stock I have it often won't hold at all. Just flashes on the screen and disappears. Loading the machines often flat crashes the program. It will load two items when I just wanted one as if I was holding it down when I wasn't, opposite of trying to hold it down and it won't! I even gave up loading the machines and went to at least catch my fish and the line would break nearly as soon as I threw it in several times so even that wasn't working right. So I came here to see if there was any word on the fix but no.....:(
So I guess I will stop playing until see on this thread some happy dance that things are ok again.
I read somewhere that a bad update can kind of hijack the battery in the background and make the touch control wonkie and ones battery to be being used up too fast. I also can't seem to access my battery usage like I use to, it just says use the iPad for a few minutes no matter how long I use it...don't have any idea if this is relevant or only an issue for me. I haven't been back to the game in case it causes further problems on my iPad.
Forgot to say other apps seem to be working just fine. Only this game and my battery are weird.
