Sooo, we're going away for a few days (almost a week) and there's no wifi where we're going to be staying. Also, the 3G signal is so intermittent, it won't even load facebook or twitter text so there's no way it's going to be possible to tend my farm. :eek::eek::eek::eek:
I need some help techniques, folks. How on earth am I going to cope without access to my farm, trees, crops, animal babies and even the little people??? Waaaahhhhh!!!
Where are you going to be that has no wifi/3G? In the middle of nowhere surrounded by trees, animals, and maybe farms? :D
It's only a caravan site in Cornwall but ours is near the edge of the site, one of the furthest away from the road, and it's in a valley overlooking the sea. Most mobile phones get lousy or no signal across the whole site. I was ok with it until I started Hay Day!
How do other people cope?
Hmmmm, You could always count sheep, or go brt spotting... Look at the lovely autumn trees, buy some delicious cream and strawberry cakes... Take up fishing... Visit a Sushi bar... Eat lots of fish and chips... Try lobster soup... It's getting chilly, so you will need woolly jumpers, hats, and scarves as well...
Above all, don't do anything at all that remotely reminds you of just how much you are missing your farm...

Aww, thank you! He is a lazy little so and so, sleeping for hours on end. I'm going tomorrow, I think, unless I can persuade hubby to delay a day and go Friday morning. We're definitely coming home on Tuesday though and I'm going to be counting the minutes until we get back. I'm hoping to get a 3G signal when at the Club House on Saturday evening so I might be able to pop back to relieve the animals and feed them as long as my little phone can do the business. Well Lady Dawn I think it is time to find Hay Day Anonymous. They will be able to help you with your addiction. Hope you can find them there. I've been searching for them here in the states to no avail.
Since I could see that I play this game way too much I decided to stay off the iPad after my hubby gets home from work. One thing that has helped me is I no longer buy diamonds and can't hire Tom. I found he was a big reason I was at my farm so much. Since I hired him I made sure I got full use of him every two hours. I learned that I can fill most of my boat orders without him. I have no problem casting off boats that I know I can't handle.
The virtual farm farm will still be here when you get home. Relax, have fun and enjoy your time away.

I, too, am on my way to an enforced absence. Visiting my elderly aunt who has no Internet. I actually got three BOOKS to read. Yes, BOOKS! Am sad I will be away, but love my Auntie to the max and will really enjoy my girl time! :cool:

i know just how you feel. It happened to me a few weeks ago when we were away in our caravan in Suffolk. Every day i had to visit Costa Coffee where they have wifi. You're sure to find somewhere near your site. I'll cross my fingers for you.Quote:
