Hay day is now available for Android!! YAY!
Unfortunately we can only become friends via facebook. For players who do not have facebook, or would not like to link their facebook account to this game, it becomes problematic. So I am wondering if Supercell can add in a feature so that players from two operating system can add friends in game without having to use facebook / game center / google play?
Bumping this thread back up! Please support! I think adding friends in game will help a lot of players out there who switch from ios to android.
It would be nice if there was a way from within the game to, at least, invite other players to be friends without having to go through FB or GC no matter what device you use.
I have seen other games have it, and the person you want to be friend still has to approve/decline the friend.Quote:

Oh absolutely. I have other games on my phone where you can browse the "community", visit their farms, and request them as friends through there. Like you said, they still can approve or decline, but it's much less invasive AND could allow for people who use different operating systems to become neighbors.

Yes please. I find Game Center completely unreliable as it disconnects me ALL the time on my iPad and it's just annoying to open the app all the time -_-
Don't know what you mean by "support" haha but if it is replying to the post, I'd be happy to! I completely love the idea... I don't always want to add someone to my facebook just because I want to be able to visit his/her farm... I can invite my existing friends... but the majority of them don't like this kind of game... or get bored after lvl 15 LOL!
Bottomline... great idea that everyone is wishing for I would bet!
I agree. I wish they would implement in-game friend management. Not trying to be rude, but relying on Facebook to manage the Hay Day friend system just seems lazy. And lack of friend list control is one of the most common complaints on these forums.
The best idea I could think of was to display a unique farm ID on the 'change farm name' screen. You know, something like a 10 digit hex code. This ID could be entered by someone else to manually add your farm to their friend list. Each farm would have to have its own unique ID on the servers already, so I can't see this being terribly complicated to implement. I also can't really see any way for this to be abused, since you can already follow/unfollow any farm you randomly come across in the newspaper. So what difference does it make? Most players will continue to use Facebook like they already do, but those that haven't linked their farms, or don't want to, have a secondary option to add their friends.
If they added that feature, as well as a way to safely trade items with your friends, I think this game would be flawless.
This would be great even for apple devices!
