Will the clan castle storage be enough to collect the 4* war bonus event's loot??

You didn’t really “earn” anything more than you are getting. The event is 5x bonus up to the cap on your treasury. I raid all the time and don’t get loot because I have one or more resources full on storages. I have wars at times where I don’t get the loot because my treasury is full. It is a common part of the game. Occasionally they will allow our storages to overflow, such as when you purchase something. Storages typically do NOT overflow for free events.

Sometimes we just overthink this cartoon game we play on our phones (I know I’m guilty of that) and this is one of those times. This is the 5th year anniversary so they call it a 5 x loot event. That’s it. It isn’t complicated. For war winners it will probably mean your treasury is full and that would be the case even if it was 4x or something less, but it isn’t 4x or something less because this is the 5th anniversary. Some losers likely won’t get their treasury totally full, so they are happy it is 5x rather than something less, although that wasn’t the reason SC picked 5x. They picked 5x because it celebrates the 5th anniversary.

Yes, SC could have said “5 x up to the limit of your treasury” so you instantly knew without having to check here that it wasn’t going to overflow, but the end result would have been exactly the same.

To those saying we didn't earn anything...what in the world do you call it? You do a war attack and what happens? You EARN loot.
SC decided to do a 5X war loot win bonus...but you don't get the full bonus.
You EARNED a 5X war loot bonus; thus you expect to GET the 5X war loot bonus.
Why is this so hard to comprehend?
No one told SC to do this event. They decided to do it, but then withhold the rewards people rightfully EARNED.
Yes, I get it that if the 5X bonus wasn't there we'd still be getting (earning) normal loot. However, if SC makes an offer, they should provide the full benefit of said offer.
No matter how you slice it, it was misleading last year and it is misleading this year.
To those stating "up to your treasury limit". Last year, such a statement was not added until a day or so after clans' first wars ended and people realized they didn't get the full bonus.

Please read my post again. I didn’t say you didn’t earn anything. I said you earned what you got, which is 5x loot up to the cap of your treasury. I also pointed out this is very common in the game when you have storages full and don’t get to collect all of the loot you gather. You earn up to the cap. Rarely are we allowed to overflow the storages and almost always it is from purchasing something, not from a regular free event like this.

You EARNED (by doing what you were going to do anyway) getting your treasury filled to the cap or 5x loot, whatever is less. You got what you earned.

Thank you for reminding us all again that in addition to the fact that storages rarely overflow, we should have remembered last year they didn’t either. Personally, I thought the twitter post was a bit unclear and suggested perhaps this year would be different and we would get a bigger treasury, but that was pretty quickly ended when a moderator checked with SC and confirmed that wasn’t happening.

What’s the point of throwing up such event if more than half of loot is wasted to nowhere? That’s stupid softly speaking🤬

If you read the thread you would see the discussion and know the point: the point is it is the 5th year anniversary so it is a 5x loot event. For war winners, it means filling your treasury to the cap. Some war losers won’t fill to the cap and will actually get 5x loot. Don’t overthink it. It is just a fun little thing 5x for 5th anniversary that results in more loot than you would normally get.

ok sure, you earned a x2, x5, x10 star bonus. you earned it, thats not feeling entitled.

What is actually feeling entitled to more than what you deserve, is expecting that multiplier to somehow change the rules from how win bonuses have always functioned. Which is, win bonus up to treasury capacity.

I do not overthink anything here. As I said that’s stupid giving 5x loot when you cannot get it. It could’ve been more logic to simply give max amount for your treasury rather than show 10M on the screen and give half of it.

"More than what we deserve"? Those that won their wars deserve the 5X loot bonus. No more, no less, regardless of treasury capacity.
Your comment implies that those who won their attacks and wars deserve less than the 5X bonus...why would anyone deserve less than what they rightfully earned?

Honestly, I'd rather SC not do 5X or ??X war loot bonus since we can't keep it anyway. If they want to celebrate the anniversary of clan wars, just give bonus clan XP and/or magic items; or if it happens to fall during CWL bonus CWL medals.
Since we can't keep the bonus loot due to capacity limits, then give us something that players with non-maxed bases can receive the FULL benefit from. I specifically state "non-maxed bases" b/c anyone with a max base won't benefit from most of the rewards if not all of them.

Like others, I have no problem with the amount of loot, only the timing of this event. Believe it or not, it's a pain trying to manage 3 or more clans worth of CWLs - now we throw a loot event in that very few can even participate in? Seems odd to me. So we bit, cuz it's 5x loot. Unfortunately, we seem to be in the minority - 4 hours and counting on this search. :saywhat:

Do those that overflow their treasury from a 1x war bonus also deserve the same overflow you are suggesting?

my comment implies that the war bonus has always functioned the same... which is, UP TO TREASURY CAPACITY. Why would SC need to clarify a mechanism that has remained unchanged? Unless to address the entitled who lack comprehension.

I am also asserting that a 5x bonus event should not change that rule.

You however seem to think they should change the mechanics of the game, how win bonus has always functioned, because you feel entitled to MORE THAN TREASURY CAPACITY.
