Do you all dream of joining a top clan some day?

Just wanted to put this out there to all those who are going through the paces and farming their bases up, wether you are th1-2 and just starting out in the game or th10 do you see beyond the realms of "achievement" in upgrading your base to joining a successful clan some day or becoming a masters or champ league player??

I ask this cause after playing now for 3-4 month and in the process of finishing off maxing TH8 I am aware that all I have done in the game till this point is focus on defensive upgrades, walls, troops upgrades etc etc. During all this time I have remained loyal and faithful to the same farming clan which I love.

However Im aware that possibly at TH9 once I max out the upgrades and get the majority of walls done I will of possibly outgrown my clan and will be looking for a bigger challenge....because of this I am asking myself more and more when I want to go in the game. Will I remain where I am and be a big fish in a small pond or stretch my wings and look to join one of the bigger clans I see in the top clans list.

I wonder how many others have been or are in my situation and what they have done?? Stories please :)

It will be a place to show your in-game achievement by joining those top clans but I prefer staying and growing with my own clan even though they might have only a slight chance to get in top 200.

Not really I would rather continue playing with friends. Unless I am missing something I see no advantage to being in a top clan (assuming a few people in your clan can give you the troops you need and vice versa)

No way leaving to them, but I would be interested in visiting :)

There is not very much incentive from a gameplay perspective of being in a top clan. In other games it might allow you to take down tougher content, progress faster etc but in this game clans are almost entirely about the social element. So I have no desire to leave the clan I've been in since March because the people are good.

I used to want to for the gems.

Then I realized the amount of money needed to be spent is WAY more than what is rewarded for being in the top 3.

I set my goal to lead my clan to the top, and that shall happen one day.

I used to but now i much more enjoy chatting with my friends

does being in a top clan mean when you request you get your CC maxed in under a minute no matter what time of the day it is? If so, then maybe....

Then again I dont know if I can handle being that hardcore. I have a physical life that I must tend to also...personally and professionally...

I plan on leaving the clan im elder in, because its all americans so donations at night are very slow for me(california) so im farming to get abit better so i can join the Bear Family :)

I've been in a clan with my friends like FOREVER. Ever since we've met on global we have been growing in clans together. We always hope to get in something like Quantum's Web or Veitnam flag???.

i've been in some top clans (like top 200-100) when i was pushing, and i had to leave my clan due to tons of drama, but i would never want to got back because i love my clan. (unity titans) I think the main reason people want to be in high ranking clans is because they figure it will better than theirs, but almost anybody in a clan they really like (farming or otherwise) knows that they would never leave even if they could join a top 10 clan because they don't feel the need for a better clan. for example when i was in a pretty large farming clan (not gonna insult them, so no name) they had some not so great downsides that aren't important, but i would take screenshots of good clans i saw in global because i kinda knew i wasn't happy.

in short, most people in clans they like will say they did want to join a better clan, but not now. it's also a good way to see if you like your clan by asking yourself it you would leave them for a top clan

I am now maxing my TH5 base so I am a long way off, my current clan has really nice atmosphere and I have always been in it. But I would like to see what it is like in the top clans just out of intrest.

Same, I was offered to a clan that was 18+ And had a few maxed town hall nines

I declined because of the clan Im currently in, everyone is great.... Foolish me for not going lol :p

Top clans are usually strict with rules & don't allow you to be flexible with your clashing schedule. Most users are too busy being offline with a shield than contributing to clan chat either - and the ones online are probably searching for a decent raid.

Nope, I like the clan I'm with. I don't expect we'll ever make the leader boards but we have fun anyway.

I have no desire to be in a top clan. By far, the biggest purpose of clans is the social aspect and I can't imagine myself getting along better with those guys than my current clannies. :)

Yeah id much rather stay with my clan and grow with them. It is much more fun watching people grow from low town hall than I think it would be to join a top clan and be with a bunch of people who you barely know who all have maxed bases.....

This summed up my thoughts exactly. When you grow with other players and your clan it gives the game an edge that just joining a top clan cannot.

Sure you can have a common interest with trophy hunting and having advanced bases but the majority of the time spent in game is progressing your base and it's nice to have other clannies to share that with.

No, even if I did "out-grow" most of my clan one day, they helped me from when I was a premmie TH7 many months ago, so it would be pretty selfish to up and leave just because I play more often than most (but not all) of them. I'm not even sure what else a "top" clan could offer, anyway...

Not true at all. I've been in top 50 clans, top 100, etc. They were all chill and laid back. All you had to do was donate what's requested but that's the same in most clans. They didn't have a certain schedule, my requests were filled quickly with almost maxed/maxed troops. Also it's fun to be in a top clan just for bragging rights. Everyone likes too feel superior lol.

The only reason I want to join a top clan is probably because I want to go see where all the veteran forumers are.:o

Completely agree Fros, this is true although most people will consider their own clan they are is the best.

I dont suggest one to leave his own clan, but if you have time to play in top permanent 100/50 clans for few seasons, this will change the way you see and play the game, in a positive way :o

I'll will be joining one as soon as it's created for the forum trophy push TOP 200!

I will go wherever my clan takes me. I have no reason to leave them.
