Search for Attack use Elixir?

Spells are now created with Elixir instead of Gold. SC stated the following in the update announcement:

"Elixir is now for attacking, gold is for upgrading and defending your village! We wanted to make that division quite clear!"

So based on the statement and the division between elixir / gold, shouldn't searching for an attack use elixir instead of gold?

at th9 i have 750 gold for each search and it racks up over time, so it would help a lot :D

I would love to see it also. Elixir is for offence, Gold is for Defence. So theoretically it should be Elixir.

SC doesn want to make the game easy, so by making it so you can search with elixir meant that the people with maxed elixir and nothing to spend on could search for ages with no worries.

If this gets implemented, people with notuing else to upgrade or trophy hunters will go nuts

Love how I had too much elixir a few weeks ago - now I can't get enough of it ;)

well people will then be ♥♥♥♥♥♥ that it costs elixir and people will demand a switch and then if they switch it back to gold they will then demand it to be switched back to elixir to much drama for supercell

Just give two Next buttons. Next using gold, or Next using elixir.
