Decisions, decisions, decisions...some wisdom please!

If I can pick your very experienced brains for a mo...? (Its painless I promise!).

So Im level 29, just got my cake and juice machines up and running, only have 10 RSS slots, but otherwise 'cruising'.

However, I'm at a cross-road and have to make a decision in which direction to go next.

My choices are: a) buy ice-cream machine, b), get little boat going, c) start on some achievements (truck and boat as have neither).

What would you see as the priority at this stage? Keep in mind I can only acford either a) OR b) ATM.

Would love some advice as Im wavering...toward the boat that is!

Oh, and Im not interested in opening the mine. Not for a while til I catch up on these achievements (at least that was my cleverest thinking).

So, suggest away, and thanks for your input!

I would go with buying the boat.


There's a thread on here with a lot of helpful people to help you finish you boat for ice cream (if it does indeed come :p )

Also, look into adding people on the "Add me GC" thread. Once you have around 50 active friends, your boat will be filled up almost instantly (at least that's how it is for me) [This is excluding dairy products, will be filled up by the help thread but in a more slow manner :) ]

So yes, I think the boat direction is the way to go :) Outputs more exp and gives vouchers to buy pets :D.

And to add to all the above benefits of buying the boat, you would also be able to start your Captain's achievement right away! It's best to get that out of the way as early as possible.

I'd also recommend the boat. In addition to the above reasons, you will also be able to participate in events. The boat also gives the best opportunity to earn vouchers. Let us know what you decided to do. HHD (happy hay daying) :cool:

Are you refering to the fishing boat or the big boat to load stuff ?

The Captain and Turbo Trucker achievements are easier at lower levels since you dont have difficult items like jams unlocked yet.

If its a choice between the fishing boat and ice cream maker. Its a matter of personal choice really. If you do decide to open the fishing boat start saving land expansion items as you need to clear a few spots there too. The boat to load cargo on will ask for ice cream and fish products so that's a matter of choice. Try saving some coins and work on getting both done fast. You will unlock more stuff pretty soon which also requires gold.

Hi all and thanks for your opinions. They do count!

I thought the little boat too.

Ive been filling random orders on the River Boat (big boat), and while I have 2 x badge thingies, Ive yet to do 12 consecutive.

As for the Turbo Truck...the most Ive done is 45 truck deliveries in one day but obviously not in the time-frames required??? Havent completed any truck orders since I realized it wasnt compulsory (as I did when I first started to play)...hence that score. Plus it hasnt counted for anything and the prices are well, average?

I was kinda thinnking the sooner I get those done the better - the achievements that is cos of the type of goods required.

Didnt even think to buy two at once...machine and little boat, but I guess I can save right? Its do-able.

Ok, so maybe I keep saving then for the double buy, and meanwhile try for the two achievements...separately of course!

As for stall numbers, it seems kinda wrong just to ask people to 'friend' you cos you need more slots! I'll think on that.

You can start working on your Captain achievement whenever you want. However it might be a bit more challenging because you havent opened the fishing boat yet or the ice cream maker. Your boats could ask for ice cream products or product needing fish fillet to make which you get by fishing in the fishing area.

However lots of people will help you with these items if you ask for help on those crates. Or you can always use the boat help thread or the trade for food items thread to get the items you need. Lots of people will be happy to help especially when you are on a Captain 3 run.

Dont be shy sending out friend requests. Many people advertise their GC ID in their signature and I see you added yours so you will be receiving them too. Of advertise the add me thread or add people who advertised there recently. Having more slots will help you sell more different products. You will have more shops to visit and neighbours to visit for watering trees or helping their boats all of which have achievements too.

Again, excellent advice, but to clarify please, when you do start your Boat Captain run of 12 in a row, are you saying that I can have random people literally fill those crates during the run?


If so, then I would open the boat order, click on the crates I cant fill myself for "others" to fill as they wish, and it all counts toward my captain achievement? Wow! That sure helps things.


Maybe this is what Ive been doing when I add to the odd boat crate from time to time. I assumed it was "allowed" or you wouldn't be able to do it right? Wondered if people minded tho...ie making products only to find their crate is full already! Oops!

About buying the ice-cream machine and little boat for fish items...if I do this first, then attempt my achievements, wont it be the same situation for the next requirement If that makes sense? Its an ongoing problem from what I can see. I will always need something from the next machine up etc wont I?
