From what I have read on another thread is to use him to get mining stuff and get you diamonds back! Than you use him for free. Then get what you want. I dont know how to copy posts on my ipad, so maybe somebody can show youthe link.
From what I can tell, use him as much as possible on expansion items.
Shovels.... For mining diamonds. Or diamond rings for making money $
if you looking for money bacon and eggs and if you are up to that lv bacon pies. ( id advise you to use it every 2 hours you only have it for 3 days sadly)
if you want to save up for later shovels and saws
If you got cherry jam you probably have smelters. Get shovels. They get the most ore and diamonds. Or diamond rings to sell, as noted above.

The most lucrative items to get are diamond rings, necklaces, jellybeans and shovels.
The jewelry and jellybeans give you max $$ and XP, plus the jewelry gives you vouchers.
The shovels give you ore and diamonds.
NOTE: if you don't have your smelters yet, simply sell the ore in your RSS for max price. It will sell quickly
Thanks. I'm far from the candy machine, so shovels seem like a good thing. I was also thinking of jam and some cakes since they take so long to cook.
you don't need the candy machine to purchase the candy.
Tom will bring whatever product you ask for regardless if you have the machine to produce it (other than BEMS, LEMS and SEMS)
Jam is good. And the cheese and syrup. Using Tom to stock up on those items gives you a chance to catch up with a good stock of sugars, creams and butter.
Just thought though - I can't remember as it's been so long - if you don't have a machine, but can use Tom to get the goods, will your boats and RSS ask for those goods? (eg jewelry and candy) if so, I highly recommend getting them. If not, stick with the jams, syrup and cheeses.
Another thought however: If you want to increase your bank account, then diamond rings, jellybeans and other expensive items (regardless if you have the machines) are a good thing because Tom ALWAYS gets the items at a huge bargain for you and you can resell at max price.
Actually he will not. For example I have a candy machine, but on my level I don't have jellybeans yet. And Tom doesn't offer them. He would offer only things one can produce.Quote:

As for the OP's question it depends on what you need most. If it's coins you need make him fetch diamond rings and sell those in the RSS for max price for fast coins. If you want to earn the diamonds back send him for shovels, use those in the mine and you will receive some diamonds from mining. Sell the extra ore you dont use in the RSS to avoid barn space issues.
Sometimes I have used him to get something like cheese, which takes a while to make from milk, and of course you have to have the milk on hand! Or once i ran totally out of fish, and I used him to get fish soup. Ditto chocolate cakes, which take forever to make and require lots of resources. BTW choc cakes sell fast at top price if you want to sacrifice some for barn space.
Generally, use him for most expensive to buy, hardest and longest to make items, or items with lots of difficult ingredients. He has many uses, depending on your needs. Just don't waste him on cheap, basic items if you can help it.
oh, and use him for stuff you keep getting asked for before you can afford the machine or while it's building itself.
Tom is a tease and a money sink so beware!! :)
