I wanna quit every time it happens! >:(
This is one of my biggest pet peeves with the game and the entire reason I created a forum account. I think having a toggle for the confirmation option in settings should alleviate any issues for those who might feel inconvenienced by this.
My 2 cents.
YES please
I played We Rule for over 2 years and i had the same problem in that game, wasting hard earned mojo speeding up buildings & orders for no reason. Eventually after a lot of pressure & pestering, Ngmoco added a "mojo conformation" button & this meant no more mistakes & players (me included), bought more mojo knowing they could use it when they wanted & not by mistake. I delete games when this happens to often as i think its unfair.
As for disrupting the flow of the game,,,What a load of rubbish,,,please dont treat your customers as idiots !!.
So i say YES !!!
This is actually perfect. Too bad supercell did not even consider it. I dont see a difference between stealing someones money and "accidentally" forcing (yes forcing, i pay for a service against my will) them to spend some diamonds on a pig or sheep or sth. Once i paid for diamonds to get tom and before i could get tom i "accidentally" bought 5 mallets (60 diamonds as i remember) to expand land that was totally not needed. Needless to say that was the first and last time i ever spent money on this game. As i said before i dont see any difference between this and stealing. This needs to be fixed.
I could be mistaken-but I thought Nick said the devs had played other games that had confirmation buttons-and they felt the constant confirmation pop-up would hamper gameplay. Not that they had tried it with this one.
Dont get me wrong -I'm all for a confirmation button-of any sort--but I don't want people to read what you wrote and think that the devs are keeping something from them that's already possible.
And yes, I know CoC already has that code.
Hi
I can't locate Nick's original comment on this point, but he was pretty clear that they had tried the confirmation in Hay Day.
Not only is the code in CoC but it is already in Hay Day. If you go to any mastery screen and tap on the "get next star now" button you get exactly the sort of confirmation screen we are all asking for.
Personally I doubt this will cause game flow problems if added to every thing else as it only appears when you tap on the relevant speed up button. However the alternative approach I proposed (as quoted by you) will solve any such problems completely.
Yes they are definitely keeping something from us that is very possible (actually it is basic computing 101 stuff!).
As soon as I see Nick online I'll make my idea known to him in the hope that he will pass it on the the Hay Day development team.
