What the posts on here tell them is not how successful or otherwise they games may have been, but some of the reasons behind that success or failure.




I am quite sure they will indeed look at all those things and come to a conclusion about whether it was a good idea, and whether it is worth repeating.

It may be much more successful than posts here would suggest. Or it may not be. Only the data SC will have will tell them that.

I first started commenting seriously here in the weeks before the town hall swipe update. I think I'd had 4 comments in about 9 months prior to that which were mostly questions. I came in screaming that removing the TH swipe was going to limit or remove the participation of casual players. They didn't listen and I was right. For this December update adding the Clan Games they were basically admitting they made a mistake. They wanted the casual players to get reengaged. They succeeded! It was the first update where I came on to praise it. I did the same for the most recent update. Then they threw this in our face. I'm telling you again (and once again I doubt they'll listen), they are messing up something good. The casuals don't want to do this. Many of us that like the builder base don't want to do this. They hit a home run and then decided to sit down on 3rd base and not go to home. You say they'll listen to the reasons why they failed? I hope so but it took them 2.5 years after their last horrendous failure to fix it so I doubt what you are saying.

They will know exactly what the activity rate is like in this games compared to previous ones, and that will be much more important to them than the opinions voiced here.

While they certainly take notice of what is said here - and it certainly is worth voicing your opinions, that will be more in the form of possible tweaks people may be suggesting rather than getting any measure of how popular a move they make is.

My clan doesn't like bb, but we are suffering through it and will probably make the last tier. But given what I've quoted from your post, this will be the last time we play a bb-only clan games. If they pull this again, I will kick any person in my clan who selects a challenge.

Too bad. Builder base games. Unfortunate, really: our clan chat is full of hate on the worst update ever. However, people are trying to slog through, give them credit for trying to work as a team.

Our hope for rewards - and builder base specific ones will be avoided - is that the 4% of people who actually play the BB in our near full clan can get us something.

Time to spend entertainment money elsewhere.

We aren't really even that viable a sample, unfortunately.

By their very nature, forums attract those with the strongest feelings. And the strongest feelings, or at least those wanting to express those feelings, tend to be negative.

If you look at the posts here over the last few years, just about everything SC have done has had more negative response than positive on here. If the general playing population had been similarly negative, there is no way this game would have survived anywhere near this long.

As I say, what teh forum is good for is not deciding whether or not something is successful, but rather for giving an insight into why it was successful or not.

Indeed. Personally, I hope the result show it was a really bad idea. I like BB, but I don't want to se another similar games.

A lot of the challenges I am getting require wins, or to destroy defenses that are one or more builder hall levels above me. How can I possibly be able to win when I'm against an opponent that has those defenses and a battle machine that is 5+ levels higher than me?

I’m trying to do these challenges but it’s like wading through treacle. Very little progress being made and not much fun for me I’m afraid.

We may struggle to get the first tier rewards.

Unfortunately, you'll likely have to let your losses help you in that you'll drop in trophies and level off when you start finding bases that are similar to you in offensive and defensive strength. That's how this side of the water works.

I also hope it is emphasized with Supercell if you do give feedback that we would be a lot more annoyed at this if we weren't getting the loot caps every 8 hours. If they ever pulled one of these with the 22 hour loot cap our annoyance would be many times what it is now. Also, I come on here to report for my clan so I do think your sample size is a bit off. Obviously some people on here are just representing themselves but a fair number of us are honestly trying to give the opinions of 20-50 people when they come on here. Our clan reaction has actually been somewhat muted to this. People are not participating and our clan chat has been quiet compared to the other games so I view it as a failure since the games had reinvigorated the clan prior to this one. However unlike some other reports we haven't had too much griping... just silence. Since it has been admitted that the games were to get less active players to be more active I'd say this one failed the original objective of the games.

No, he is saying he can't even do half the challenges as it requires being a higher builder base level. Just like the th3 in your guild is not going to complete the destroy 8 inferno towers in 8 hours task.

We are a clan of 48 members. So far 9 people are trying the games and as a clan we are at 3600 total. Our top 3 (including me) have 2500 of those points.

This is going to be the worst clan games in history!

What is going to be the most frustrating is when a few players max their 3000 points yet we don't earn any of the 30k or 50k rewards. That's the entire reason we are trying.

I have been farming BB all day and neglecting the main village. If this is all for nothing I will be ♥♥♥♥♥♥.
