Making a challenge builder base specific is totally fine (perhaps not what everyone would like). However adding main base rewards is not acceptable. You can't simply say, if you don't like builder base, don't play. People are always trying to get ahead at whatever they are playing. They want the rewards for the main base, their clan mates want the rewards for the main base. People are going to be pressured by their competitive desire to win, along with their clan mates pushing them to play builder base so everyone can take main base rewards.

I will continue to say if you make specific games, you must have specific rewards. THEN people are free to choose whether to participate or not. Not pressured into what equates to a cash grab from supercell.

Nope, there is no perceived competitive advantage you gain by getting the books, it just cuts down on the time to upgrade your base to max. By your same argument, everyone should just be purchasing gems and maxing out everything because they are losing their "competitive advantage".

They are not just main base rewards, the books apply to both bases. Stating otherwise is completely shortsighted.

A lot of people acting like spoiled kids, with incessant whining. It's like kids complaining they are dying of thirst/hunger. No they are not dying of thirst, they just need to be patient. And no they are not using the word "dying" correctly. Same with everyone else who won't compete in clan games to get the books, it just means having to wait 7 days/14 days longer because you won't get the books.

As another stated it's easy to complete the bb games since the majority of the games don't require you to win the match (I think there are only 2-4 games out of like 25 that requires one to win). Especially if you haven't built your boat, you can make this the easiest clan games in history. Go to the minimum builder hall level to compete in clan games and get all 3000 points in less than a day.

You don't have to like it, just do it to get the reward if you want it that bad. I don't like upgrading walls, but I'm doing them because I know it will benefit my base.

Absolutely fine to cater to BB players sometimes, just don't try to pressure/guilt people who don't like it into building up their builder base as well. (Dramatically increasing their opportunity to make $ I might add)

It is not giving main base rewards. It is giving rewards. The book of heroes is not a main base reward. It is a reward to upgrade heroes, in ANY base. This games is giving the only two BB exclusive rewards that exist (the two new runes). If they want to give any other options for people they have to include rewards that could be used in the main base if you so choose. Do you really expect them to have only two tiers with only one choice each just so they can make sure no one playing the main base can possibly benefit from this set of games? That is pointlessly restrictive.

The only main base exclusive rewards that this set of games has are the resources people can choose to take and probably some of the potion options that still are only useable on the main base. If anything that just shows the level of neglect that the builder base has received. I have never taken any gold, elixir, or dark elixir rewards from clan games because main base resources are super easy to acquire. I take the gems and potions I can sell for gems because at least gems are difficult to come by.

I truly wish this set of games had rewards like you want it to have. It would be great to finally be able to get builder base resources from clan games and resource potions that benefit the builder base as well. As it stands main base focused players continue to get the majority of the benefit even from the first BB focused clan games. Be happy that your preferred base is still disproportionally rewarded and enjoy this opportunity to get even more rewards for it.

And why would you feel pressured to build up your builder base. BB challenges are easiest for people that have very low builder bases. By all means, keep your builder base low. If your base is low enough you can attack non-stop with no downtime whatsoever. Just take challenges that require earning a percent of damage or destroying certain buildings. The advantage in these games goes to people that don't have high level bases.

I have to admit I've grown weary of people saying they don't want to participate in clan games (any clan games). People that don't want to play the clan games should form or join clans that choose to neglect clan games. Doing so is absolutely crazy in my opinion, but I suppose it is their right. The problem is when these deadbeats want to stay in clans with people that actually care about their progress.

It's just like people that don't want to war and thus a clan has to have smaller wars worth less clan experience. Since there are only 10 clan levels that matter it doesn't make much of a difference in the long run, but these selfish players are hurting their clan so they can be lazy for a few extra minutes. Once again, if they want to join a clan of deadbeats so be it, but they shouldn't be dragging down the success of a clan that actually cares about its progress.

Clan games are about helping your clan and the best thing they have done is shown who the team players are and who doesn't care about their clan. People get way to focused on they want for themselves and don't spend enough time thinking that clan games are a team event.

I believe you can participate in clan games at any BH level (but you must be at least town hall 6 in the main base). I could be wrong but have not heard anything to the contrary. If you have not been playing the builder base so far that should be fine. You can get started when the games start in a few hours (or even now if you want to get through the tutorial).

I play 2 accounts and only builder base on 1 account. I do my 3 wins a day and quit not a fan of it. However with that said i find the builder base to be the quickest to complete tasks. I even do some on my second account which i quit progressing at Bh4. I usually max both accounts early in top3 every games.

I play the builder base every day, even though I am not crazy about it. And yes, it was originally designed to be very fast and simple. It is becoming less so with each upgrade and update. It was ok when you could get on there and make attacks every 3-4 minutes. Before long, you will only be able to make 4-5 attacks an hour. And major upgrades are 5 days now. Not exactly my idea of quick and simple.

I'm 100% F2P on the BB side. And I was max BH7 before the update, except for walls. But given that the gear-ups aren't
really beneficial to the main base, I'm strongly considering just using my BH for the gem mine and dropping way down in trophies (4600 now down to below 3K) to easily complete future CG.

EDIT: If you have to beg people to use your product, which I think they are doing now, maybe your product isn't all that.

I'm happy to see so many coming forward to show their opinion about the next clan games. In this thread it seems pretty obvious the majority here dislike this idea. I even see some posters who are optimistic most of the time voicing thier disappointment.

Its ironic that SC allows engineers because they say they don't want to force a certain play style (or something to that affect). Yet here they are holding magic items hostage unless we play what they want us to play. When they see the yuge and bigly results of BH activity they can toast to the success of BH8. Yeah

So sad. Now, the Leader of the Clan has to explain to those that love BB why he won’t be putting in work with them.

After this very underwhelming update, I decided to stop playing that junk BH travesty (with a nearly maxed BH7) that has just taken over with SC and has contributed to the downfall of the MB. Any issues in BH are rectified ASAP, yet issues like clouds and MM only lead to false promises. It’s almost as if they’ve forgotten the reason that the majority of us even started playing this game!
