The first two are somewhat hyperbolic, second is a linked IF statement, both perfectly common and understood. The word is clearly communicating how the posters feels, and to focus in on it and try argue about it is missing the forrest for the twig.

dont you understand I am using a clear example to illustrate the point the existence of options does not mean forced ceases to be a word you can use. i am in no way comparing mugging to playing a video game, Im illustratinf the above point, but you know that, you're just petty fogging again. So again to help you, people are using forced, correctly, in any of the following ways:

If I want x, I am forced to do y (totally correct usage)

I feel forced (correct)

Supercell is forcing me (hyperbolic, possibly even fitting some newer definitions as words gain more and the usage change over time, but still correct)

And again, my main point, we all know what they mean, wether they say influenced, arm twisted, coerst, manipulated, pressurised, inventivised in a way that makes you feel bad, losing rewards or getting punished.

so why petty fog the issue?

Your analogy is false as there aren't any rewards involved and your participation doesn't affect everyone on the team just you.

To me the whole language of “forced” just doesn’t work here. It’s clearly an “If... then...” that pertains to a completely optional recreation activity. People using that lingo do their position no favours as it’s way too easily dismissed and comes across to quite a few as drama talk. But that’s not “discussion over”, as there’s something behind that use of “forced” that we miss if we just dismiss it as dramatic or hyperbole (which some of it may well be). What they mean is that they want all of to play clan games, to max points in clan games, and to not play B.B. in clan games. Differences are ultimately over whether or not you think that’s a reasonable wish list to apply to every single instance of clan games. Personally I think for some that Peter Perspective took a holiday, but you might well see it differently.

And it’s all pretty much a storm in a teacup, as SC have pretty clearly indicated they’re opening to hearing what would improve things for people in the current design, but that demands “don’t do that thing you implemented that sucks” just isn’t useful.

UPDATE

28 hours into the CG we have finally reached Tier1, 9 players have contributed, only 3 have over 100 points.

Basically the 2 BhB players (in the clan of 49 adults) we have who regularly play their 3 wins per day, have decided it's not worthwhile selecting annoying restrictive tasks, and are just playing as normal.

Update as well...

29 players now participating in clan game in our clan of 40. One more has started their first challenge but no points yet or I would say we had 30/40 playing in the clan game. This is with absolutely no encouragement from me or any of our co leaders. We have almost 19,000 points and will certainly hit lv 5 tier today..
