When to go to th9?

I know about maxing everything, but I've heard about the other part of deciding when to go to th9. It's pretty obvious that I won't get full skulls before I max everything else. I've heard its worse to have idle builders sitting while I get skull walls, but I've also heard skulls are worth waiting for. Here is my upgrades, with pingfaos tesla theme park.

What to do?

Go to 9 without the higher walls - wasting builder time and lower defense outweighs having lower loot for your walls, the ONLY thing you will be able to upgrade at 8 after maxing.

You need to get TH9 now!

I have 4.8 million gold, and max elixir. Should I upgrade barracks for pekkas during the upgrade? So I should start it when I get my next builder?

I'm reaching this same predicament, although my wall problem is a little better, about 50% black. I've heard that you should get at least 75% black walls before upping, so I'm just leaving one builder idle, and playing a lot more than usual. I'm pretty much maxed out, just need three more archer towers, traps, and some collectors/ mines

I went to th9 with unmaxed walls, heros, and teslas. And I'm fine.

You have maxed out every thing i guess but by this time you should have already got your skull walls
you didnt plan well enough i thing or someone mislead you anyways, skull walls are worth waiting... Hogs wont be the legendary troops in future i guess.. So wait till u get atleast 80% skull walls because at th9 you have to do two more levels of walls unlike the previous all th4,5,6,7,8

So, lesson learned, always spend extra gold when you get a free builder on walls until another one would cause you to not be able to afford your intended upgrade?

its simple... Just plann your builders such that only one builders gets free every 2 days( never let more than one builder get free in a day ) 2 days are enough to get 6 mil gold if u farm good enough and only raid collector bases.
Now spend on walls keeping the amount of gold for the next desired upgrade which should follow right after the walls. If u keep on doing this again and again from the point you get th8 , by the time u max th8 all your walls would be skulled

I would go for TH9 if I were you. In the meantime of the TH upgrade, I would highly recommend leveling up your barracks.
