This is bad idea because it will remove the challenge element of the game. However, if u maxed everything u will not have anything to spend with gold except traps
My opinion is it is bad to change it back to gold

I used to never farm with spells, but now Ill use the occasional rage to help get gold.
True for people push but then for people like me where I have got to the point for th8 where elixir is useless this is great so look at it from both perspectives and if they Change it to gold people will want them to change it back
Think about it this way, you will literally always need gold, the only exception being if you decide to spend thousands on gems. Elixir stops being useful relatively early on in the long run.
I very much disagree with this I mean if you don't spend gold for spells that means more gold for the defenses and walls
