Clash of Clans Spring Update 2018 - Preview #3 - Builder Base level 8

Hey there Chief,

Welcome to Preview #3. "Mega" and "Super" are the keywords for this preview. In this sneak peek we'll be sharing some info about the Builder Base level 8 release and the features included with it. Let's get some of the basics out of the way first, before we introduce the two new exclusives to this release.

When you upgrade your Builder Hall to level 8, here's what's included in the upgrade:

Builder Hall 8 features
Resource Buildings:
+1 Elixir Pump
+1 Gold Mine

Defensive Buildings:
+1 Double Cannon
+1 Army Camp
+1 Hidden Tesla
+1 Cannon
+1 Firecrackers
--and--
+1 MEGA TESLA (NEW)

Traps:
+2 Spring Traps
+1 Push Trap
+1 Giant Bomb

Troops:
+2 Additional levels for all troops (up to level 16)
Access to...SUPER P.E.K.K.A. (NEW)

Battle Machine:
+5 additional levels

Builder Base Balance Changes:
Builder Base Versus Battle rewards now increase up until 5000 trophies
Sneaky Archer: Level 12 Cloak ability duration is reduced from 10 seconds to 8 seconds.
Drop Ship: HP has been increased by 10% across all levels.

Additional Home Village Content:
You can now upgrade a single Mortar in your Home Village to a Multi-mortar defensive building, starting at TH10.

Let me catch my breath while you take that all in for a moment. Ok, we're good.

Mega Tesla
Let's start with the Mega Tesla, a new defensive building for your Builder Base. So what sets the Mega Tesla apart from its not-so-Mega cousins? Take a look!

Build Time: 24hrs
Range: 7 tiles
Targets: Ground and Air
Favorite Target: Any
Damage Type: Chain Lightning

So what is Chain Lightning? The Mega Tesla's damage will hit the first target up to 7 tiles away, and then will arc to the next closest target up to 3 tiles away and deal damage to it as well. Shocking!

We'll share the damage it deals per level in the full patch notes on release day!

Super P.E.K.K.A.
She's big, bad, beautiful, and goes BOOM! The new Super P.E.K.K.A. troop differs from her Home Village counterpart in one distinct way. So let's take a look at her base level stats when you unlock Builder Base 8.

Units per Army Camp: 1
Spring Weight: 25
Movement Speed: 16
Favorite Target: Any
Damage Type: Single Target
Special Ability: Overcharge

When the Super P.E.K.K.A. receives fatal damage, she does one final explosive attack called "Overcharge". At level 1, her Overcharge deals 400 damage. And her Overcharge ability gets stronger as her level increases. That's a lot of boom.

Again, full stats will be shared in the patch notes.

Today surely is last preview which will come and update on Monday

Yep may be today is the last sneak peak.

I think today will be the last preview and we will get update on Monday or Tuesday

Today’s sneak peek will definitely be BH8. So it could be the last sneak peek or there could be another one tomorrow. But the update won’t be released on the weekend because SC need to be in the office when the update happens so they can fix any immediate glitches with a quick maintenance :)

I saw a news on Twitter that we will get builder base news today what it can be. I think bh8.But I want war in builder base. Tell me what u guys want .

Patience. Im sure we will know everything in less than 6 hours from now.

We can get competitions between players like a league but not anything related to war..they don't want to cross over the main village stuffs with builder hall

I dont know what is your problem with this thread. He (rmaster) just wanna know what people want from this BB upgrade. Whats problem in that? I am in sc fourm over 8 monthes and i have seen most of the time you have some problem with others threads (he is violating the rule, he cannt wait, he is posting same thread again bla bla bla). Give people chance to express their feelings & opinion. Supercell moderator will delete if there is any wrong in any thread. They are working on that. You just keep chilling.

Darian already mentioned there will be another army camp and it is the secondary reason for nerfing sneaky archer cloak ability.

Each Troop will be Lv16 by Max on BH8
New Hero Levels
Maybe till lvl 30

And +1 army camp

So, I really am of the opinion that creating threads titled "When will the Update drop?", "release update today plzzz", "speculation for this update" and "any more sneak peaks?"
is totally useless and instead is somehow clogging the main sub-forum wall :(

The sneakpeeks and the updates will drop as and when planned by SC. Creating threads like these won't make them change their minds to drop the update sooner.

dude this is due to curiosity and also because darian posts some stuffs on reddit as well and it helps people like us to know about it as some might know about it... as not all of us use reddit and brother what will be the use of this forum if we dont post we dont do anything? its better to leave everything on SUPERCEL as they will do whatever they have planned for the specific day as quoted by you!! but also want to tell you that people come here to know more about the game make new friends and also to talk about a common topic and so those who likes comments and those who dont the go for other topic...

If you play a last snea peek on a Friday, the most likely thing is that the update falls on Monday, or later on Wednesday

Army Camp considered as defensive buildings?

So the Super Pekka has no difference than Home Village Pekka, except when he die? Is it possible to Push Trap Super Pekka, that would be funny having troops with such weight getting tossed and tossed.

Considering Giant Cannon hitbox theory, will it deals additional damage to Super Pekka just like it did to BM?

No additional Walls? That's giving many buildings outside for attackers to snipe.

I’m a little worried about the battle machine, he struggles at bh7 with 2 crushers and the 10x ish damage he takes from the giant cannon, and now the mega Tesla is another huge damage dealer, it’s death in every direction for the BM and he only gets 5 levels.

Turning out to be a good update overall. Nothing over the top that I'm jumping out of my chair about. Nonetheless, I hope the changes that needed to be implemented were and hope everyone is happy. Cloud fixing is a task that is very difficult.

The main thing I liked about the builder base......quick time attacking between main raids, but at 6 mins per rebuild it’s not the fast all action attacks.

and why reduce the archers cloak, when the barbs are still very OP. They meant to be the weakest troop around, but there so many it gives an easy 2 star.

And more ore buildings to hit...sigh...it’s almost getting to be like the normal base.

Good to hear about dropship HP buff.
I was hoping sneaky archer's DPS would increase since its cloak time is being reduced. I predict tremendous plummet in its usage.

Cool, lots of changes in bh8 wrt mined data. Looks balanced now for air attacks too.
Will the reset point change to 5k with additional loot?
Also, yesterday in galadon's video lvl 8 walls were shown with elixir also. No mention about that here. Not finalized yet?

Now, I am stuck in a wrong upgrade situation now. Last week i had giant and bm last level pending and i upgraded giant due to season reset and thinking update is sightly late. And now my bm will start on sunday. Right now Monday looks to be update day, not only builder would be busy, but elixir will also get waste when i will do bh upgrade later. I should have finished bm.

There is mention of new levels in game. At least lvl 8 multimortar for that gearing.

Guard post were removed in bh7 itself and now air bombs are removed, if u mean the mined data.

Trophy reset staying at 4000 or moving to 5000?
