I have been playing for several months and I have often thought how cool it would be to see your own farm in the newspaper. It would be a bit like real life when you get your photo in the local paper. so has any one ever seen it?

Yes! I mentioned this just the other day.
Once when I first joined (very recently), and TODAY it happened again!
Very freakish if you ask me, but it was definitely me as I have a very distinct avatar.
Today, I tried to visit my shop, but it wouldn't let me...just went into "connecting" mode and basically froze me out. Had to re-set the game.
If I were quicker (it was mid paper cycle), I could've tapped myself as a friend and tried to re-visit that way.
I did wonder if I could buy my own stuff (to upgrade an amount of one stocked item) and avoid using a diamond for a slot. But being a diamond in question, its highly doubtful i could have.
Edit: And yes I took a screen-shot LOL
