too good of a defense is bad?

I'm TH 6 and I've copied some bases from the web and I am starting to think that they are bad because they are too good.

The people I copied them from show logs saying they are good. And i've read some tactics and believe they are good bases. However, the result is that I rarely get attacked and when I do, I get stomped. Therefore, it leads me to believe that the base defense is so good it scares away mediocre players and leaves me vulnerable to good or higher level players.

Has anyone run into that? How many attacks do you get per day? I get maybe 3-4 attacks per day and more than half are losses.

But then it leads me to wonder how the orginal author has logs of 30+ defenses won? Was it because I am looking at old base designs that were really good at first, but now are bad?

In any case how do I get a TH7 base where the defense log shows 30+ wins? Is it even possible to get that many attacks a day or a week?

I dunno. the only types of army that can mash meh are overkill armies(mass balloon, dragon, hog, etc.), armies with like 20+ lvl 6 giants or giant-healer. my TH8 hasn't really experienced any other attacks (except for TH-goers). a good solution is to put ur TH in da corner and keep ur gold and DE amount low (walls and heroes). that way most people just go for ur TH (worked for meh)

yeah i can do that and be fine. But I want to be attacked so I can win defenses. Sitting at 2 million gold all morning and no attacks :/
