Very well put by 2222, An OPTIONAL setting to set a minimum points requirement. Some will use, some will not.

I have zero issues with clans having trophy requirements to join being different to my clans, I see a clan games requirement in the same style of leadership.

No it doesn't. It's CLAN games, not individual rewards games. You get those in multi-player. Rewards should go to all those in a clan who participate, regardless of how much participation they may make. Think "Three musketeers". "All for one, and one for all".

Besides, what if you are 50 points short of the last tier ? If you have set a minimum of 500 points, someone may not wish to do that due to time etc but could easily get the 50 and unlock that last tier. With no minimum they may well do that for the clan, whereas with a minimum of 500 points, why would they even bother ?

Clans are a means to help each other, aren't they ? Why then, would you not want to help some of your clan mates, yet help others ?? Either you are for helping everyone, or you are not. If you don't want to help everyone else in the clan, why are you in one ? other than furthering your own agenda ???

My apologies, perhaps I was not clear in my response. I do NOT support taking away rewards retroactively. What I was suggesting is that the ONLY action being taken is the removal of the individual from the clan, he gets to keep his rewards.

As for setting a bar to receive the rewards from the games before it starts, I am equally uncomfortable with that as I noted in my last post. I can see that being misused right from the get go as failure to meet that bar means you lose all rewards. The receipt of the rewards should be based entirely on participation in clan games to whatever ever level. If you don't like that someone put in only 40 pts of effort and gets full tier rewards because you ASKED for a minimum contribution of 500pts - easy peasy, kick them so that they cant do that in your clan ever again....but they still get the rewards.

It still takes lot of time to find good clan on global where players thinks he can fit into clans expectations. and players who are new to this game don't know about forums.

Fortunately, players aren't bound to a clan long term. If they don't mesh well, they can move on to a new one.

So then the clan management has to keep scores and lists from 'counting' scores and 'not yet counting' ones .... bad idea from my point of view, both as leader and not-leader in a clan ... if there would be some 'points' feature, it should be things like
1. opt in or opt out - like for war - management can take appropriate action to secure max points
2. set a personal goal (people can do this themselves and explain it to management, if that is wanted)
3. IF there's some point 'minimum' put in place, it has to be customizable PER ACCOUNT. Because a responsible leader knows (at least for most of their clannies) if and if so, when they have time. Also, if real life issues come along, that shouldn't all of a sudden become a hindrance (so then: if there's ONE minimum, when to set it, before games? and what if circumstances change?)

With all of the 'issues' being mentioned in this thread, I realize more and more that I apparently am part of only awesome clans ...

Once again, this is optional for clans. If your clan doesn't need it, then they don't have to use it. Of course it would need to be set before the games. A leader changing it during games could potentially change it last minute otherwise. As for the counting/not-counting scores...the leadership wouldn't have to do anything. If the set limit is above 1000, for example, all the players below would still show up, but their points wouldn't count in the clan total until they hit the 1000.

Sure. So casual players, busy people, people with RL commitments will miss out whilst those that have time on their hands will progress even faster. What bit of CLAN is difficult to understand ? CG is not meant to be about an individual, hence the name CLAN games. You can win all the loot you want as an individual, but CG is about helping each other to get extra rewards.

Not sure why anyone would have an issue with other clan mates benefiting from a free reward. They have to participate at least once to be eligible, and, unlike your suggestion, those points DO count for everyone, not just them.
