Hello,
Yes yes we have all heard of clan wars being incorporated into the game or not. Some people are for it and some people are against it! Some people mean "clan wars" as in, they want to battle their friends. To specify, I mean one clan vs. another clan. Not attacking your friends or your clan members.
Anyways... I just sent this email to Supercell. I was talking to a lot of people in-game and had a lot of support for the idea, so I decided to send them this:
These were just some quick ideas I thought up. What do you guys think? Currently in the game you can basically only do 2 things: Farm and upgrade, or trophy push with a clan. I think by introducing this, it brings another cool aspect to the game without interfering with the previous ones.Quote:

- It would increase the social aspect of clans

From my experience playing the game, some players tend to get bored of farming and waiting to upgrade things, so at around Town Hall 7 or 8 they stop playing as much or quit all together. I think by introducing Clan vs Clan Wars, this wouldn't happen! Players wouldn't get bored and the game would be more fun.
Here are my suggestions for Clan vs Clan Wars in CoC:
Challenging:
The leader of a clan can challenge another clan in a specific trophy range around the clans trophy level. In order for a Clan War to start the leader of one clan must challenge another clan and the opposing clan must accept by the following methods: The leader of the clan accepts the challenge, 10 elders+members accept the challenge, 5 elders accept the challenge.
The War:
For a certain number of days (probably 3 or 5 days would be best) the 2 clans are at War. Players of one clan can attack players in the opposing clan or Find Match as usual and attack players outside the 2 clans. Trophies gained outside of the War will not be counted towards the Wars trophy pool. Gaining trophies for your clan by attacking members of the other clan will go into a pool that lasts as long as the War. The clan with the most trophies at the end of the war, wins.
Rewards:
Resources will be split amongst the top contributors to the war of the winning clan (probably top 15 contributors would be best). The amount of resources awarded depends on the on the trophy range the war was started at.
Thanks for taking the time to read this! Me, and many other players would love to see this in the game. This is also a great way to keep current players interested in the game by introducing a new aspect of competition.

With respect to challenging, I think the method I mentioned could be exploited by a leader accepting with a clan full of inactive players. I think for accepting a challenge it should be the following:
- The leader of the clan can turn Wars on or off in clan settings. If on, the clan can be challenged to a war by other clans. If off, the clan cannot be challenged to a war.
If Wars are turned on, and the clan is challenged:
- 10 members minimum (if 30% of members is less than 10) have to accept the challenge or 30% of total members must accept
- members than can accept or decline the challenge have to have been in the clan for longer than 10 days
EDIT:
they could make it so you can only attack people in the opposing clan with a TH 2 above yours or 2 below yours (this would make it so higher level clan members are attacking higher level members of the opposing clan and not targeting much lower levels)
Or... Have no limit on who can attack who within the war and if a TH10 attacks a TH4 it's only worth 1 trophy
- I think maybe +/- 2 TH from yours is a good range though and would work better

To deal with feeder clans letting main clans win - You can't go to war with the same clan more than once every 1 month (let's say, or more). Also choosing which clan you want to go to war with could be like the 'Find Match' feature. The clans you will be presented with to challenge is randomly generated, not selected from a list. So you couldn't select your feeder clan unless it came up (which is unlikely). When the leader is looking for a clan to challenge, he/she can see the level of the members in the clan
EDIT:
When challenged by a clan, the members of the clan that was challenged should be able to view the other clan to see what level people are that challenged them before making a decision to accept or decline the challenge

Winning resources we be split amongst all the members of the winning clan that contributed to the wars trophy pool, with a higher % going to the top contributors. Members that didn't contribute to the wars trophy pool will get zero. Contributions to your clans trophy pool includes winning trophies from successful attacks and winning trophies from successful defenses.
