It's ok, you did nothing wrong and have been trying to do everything right to fix something you didn't even know existed.
Some folks on the forum trade items and those that do this have a set of guidelines so the trades are successful. Unfortunately, some of them forget that 1) the majority of players don't even know this forum exists so don't know the clues that someone might be trading, and 2) it is not an official part of the game nor set rules by the developers, so no one has to abide by these unofficial made up guidelines if they don't want to....unless you are one of the trade partners. 3) every trade carries the risk that some innocent player will come by and purchase them before the trading partner. Sounds to me as if your player forgot all this.
Even those of us who know that some trade and are aware of their guidelines not try not to interfere, purchase trade items now and again. Unfortunately, some folks who trade freak out when the risk they know they are taking actually comes to pass.
At the top of this forum, you'll see a black bar with some menu items in white type. If you click on Community, you'll be taken to an alphabetical listing of all forum members. You can look to see if this neighbor appears on list of forum members. If yes, than you can click on his/her name and you'll be redirected to his/her profile, where you can leave a Private Message explaining your desire to return the items. Not much to do after that except wait a day to give them time to respond.
If they are not forum members, than there is no way to contact them.
You've done your best to get in touch with this player to give back the items. That's commendable. Try not to let this eat at you and ruin your enjoyment of the game. :)
As far as putting their name in your post, it's obvious that you did so to gain their attention so they could contact you to set up a return of the panels. This is NOT considered calling out or naming and shaming, so don't worry about that. However, due to the fact that many threads regarding interruption of trade tend to take a turn for the worse, they are often closed to avoid such from happening.
Move on. You did your best to give them back and it didn't work. Use the panels and think no more about it. I'm lvl 74 and have a fast shopping finger. Just recently I accidentally bought tapes that were a trade (I don't check prices) it took 2 hrs of PMing to get them back to the seller. ARG! Which brings me to the needed option of communicating within the game…
Wow.....a thread about me. I don't want the panels back...I just wished you hadn't bought all 20 and left some for others.
Thank you very much for that explanation Cricks. :)
If the two parties involved wish to discuss the matter further they can do so via the forum Private Message system.
Thank you and happy farming.
