The first goal differs for everyone, but most people are saying 2 tools.

A little disappointed that I didn't get any vouchers, but I still enjoyed the event! I made 24 diamonds catching new fish, and am a great deal further along in my fishing achievements!
Level 2: I got 2 nails.
Second level gave me 2 nails.
1st level got 2 TNT. I'm liking the look of the rewards at second level! :)

no new special fish caught yet :( not for lack of trying, that's for sure! The bronze northern stud fish I just caught with a green lure and a medium circle gave up such a fight I was sure I had one of the four. Alas, no... <hangs head and cries quietly> ;):o:rolleyes: On the good side, I did get a new regular fish, longear sunfish, and a diamond. So, not a total loss ;) :D

Just caught a new fish using the purple lure at the area with the barrel. Small circle but there wasn't much pulling so I was surprised I got it.

Zander: area 2 ( right in front of the fishing shed), small inner circle, outer circle closes very slowly. Green voucher used and caught the gold weight @ 12.906
Lake sturgeon: Area 8, small inner circle(spot), blue voucher used, bronze weight @ 10.528lbs.

I caught all 4 new fishes, not all weights though, but I'm happy. I really like this event. Only blue and green vouchers needed (personally, I didn't use any gold or purple ones), we can gain a couple diamonds and maybe 5 more if the global goal is achieved, a couple tools and even gold vouchers are possible, the weight adds to the Big Game Fisher achievement (reached level II myself) and last not least, it is fun :)
I seem to recall one of the other global events had the same - or at least equivalent - rewards across the board for the various individual achievement levels. I wish they had continued that. The 2 boxes of nails I got for the 2nd level are not equivalent to another person's reward of a gold voucher! And it seems to be just a matter of luck whether you get these giant fish or not. I haven't and I've been using green and blue lures. At 1-3 lbs per fish that 110 lbs is looking a long way off! But I'm kinda wishy-washy: half the time I'm "arrgh!", the rest of the time I'm "oh well..." :rolleyes:

I am struggling my way to the fourth level. Am so underwhelmed about the prizes I've gotten so far as well as the stupid number of green vouchers I am using to make lures for fish that take forever to catch ... I just have lost my "ooomph" for this event.
I thought it would be more fun!
I'll likely change my tune when I get a truckload of vouchers for 4th and 5th levels ;)
And if I just get a bunch of nonsense, there are still perks: diamonds for the fishing, progress towards an achievement, a barn no longer full of lobster tails but empty of fish fillets, etc.
I do think the prizes on this one are horribly unbalanced, but we seem to always be finding things "unfair" in the game.
Well, life can be like that too :)

ive also caught 2 of the new fish. The circles were normal size and they don't put up much of a fight at all, so I was shocked.

We all made the global goal. I got a total of 22 diamonds and got 5 from a box. Although I needed 3 more to buy the xmas tree, I still bought it. Woohoo. I am gonna keep on fishing to see if I recuperate the diamonds.
Yes, the rewards were underwhelmed but the best reward for me was getting all those diamonds when catching the new fishes. Now, I have the xmas tree. Yeah!!

I'm very happy with the results! I'm still almost 100 pounds away from the last goal though. Luckily, I bought my last pet just before the event started, so I've been using up all my vouchers.
Those Zander's are super annoying. They get away from me right near the end almost every time. It's now that I wish I had an IPad. The IPhone is so small!

then when I saw how many pounds to get to the 5th reward, I said heck with this. I did like getting the new fish, so that made it worthwhile for the beginning of the event.
