i hope I don't lose the diamonds for the big event fish! I haven't collected diamonds for them and I have a bunch of other fish I haven't collected diamonds for. I wonder if I should just collect them. :/

I thought that once the event was over the bigguns will stay in the book? Am I misunderstanding?
I've caught 3 of the 4 (Lake Sturgeon is left I think) but not all of the 'medals'. Quite frankly I was losing hope of ever finishing the book (considering it IS feasible to do so) because I keep getting the same fish i've caught before.
I know there's a thread on 'how to' catch the fish and the differing sizes of circles but I'm not so sure just how true it all is...maybe it is. Moot point as with my vision its difficult to tell the difference in some of the sizes.

Also, I too challenge the iPad with the aging eyes and trying to see exactly how large the circle is. In addition to the small(er) circle you want in the middle and the slower ring on the outside, also listen to the sound of the "reel" (I have the music option turned off - this helps a lot). You'll begin to recognize a slower sounding reel, which is when you've hooked a much larger fish. Hasn't worked every time for me, but darn close!

Great tip about the reel sound but.. well...
I'm deaf in real life for one- I do have some hearing but it ain't the best. Plus I leave the sound off on my iPad so as not to offend the other occupants of my temporary home lol.
I didn't even know there WAS sound for the longest time because I leave the iPad on mute until somebody on the forum said something... so I turned it on to see... Moo.
We will see......
