Me? i broke down and bought another smelter so now I am in production to make the most of the rest of the truck event and wheating and corning so I can sell land deeds and other LEM at full price in my RSS for the next day or so. Seems like land deeds are popping out of the fields on the 100 Acre Wood Farm this morning. One my Facebook friend (the only person who I know in real life who plays) has been buying the deeds this morning.

Shea, i was wondering what was in the under contruction box on your farm. I like my ice cream maker also.
Of everything I have so far the coffee kiosk is the most disappointing. Too many products go into coffee - sugar, cream. What about a nice string expresso.....coffee and water??? Not am option.
Been doing house work, wash, watching American foot ball with the hubs. 8 inches of snow on the field in my city, was a very strange game to watch. Snowing much harder south and east of the city. Predictions were for harder north and west. I live north and west and maybe we have 4 inches of snow. Not a proplem - I blast through that in my all wheel drive OUtback. Still snowing but should change to rain before tomorrw. Lots of multiple vehicle accidents on the freeways Nd interstates on the East coast and further west (not as west as Mosey) been following them on via my twitter account. major roads closed due to accidents.
Nice relaxing hay day....Off to make the beds and put out new towels. Also gwt cleaned up as it is 5pm and i am still in my jammies.

Why does the coffee kiosk get so much hate? :p It's acually one of my favourite machines, sure it's hard but it's the fun part trying to run it 20h per day without stopping the other machines. In 327h my coffee kiosk will get mastered and get a shiny star on top of it. ;)Quote:

mindstormer, as soon as i complete the mastery on the ake oven i will really focus on the coffee kiosk. I think since most think it is a resource hog, there is money in the machine as the finished products in low supply. I am sure i will learn to like it. The netmaker is a pretty essential thing and you will probably fast find out that you will only have time to make lobster traps as you wont have time to make any nets. I've put my net maker on producing lobster traps 24/7 and I'm still always low on losters and lobster traps... :PQuote:

It sure is a resouce hog, you pretty much need to let your dairy produce cream 24/7 there's no way around it. You make 1 cream every 17 mins so you get around 3 creams in 1h, the coffee kiosk only needs 2 creams each hour. You can use this to build up a supply of cream and then produce some other dairy products but you will always find yourself low on dairy products as your coffee kiosk requires so much cream.Quote:

Not necessarily. I make 6 lobster traps, a mystery net, & 1 (2 if stay up late) fish net(s). Of course I play all day everyday so the only time my net maker isn't making nets is when it finishes the fish net at night while I'm sleeping. I have my lobster pool upgraded to 2 lobsters being in there at once & have 2 lobster traps always out. Every time I collect lobsters from the lobster pool I move the lobsters that were caught with the nets after 6 hours into the pool & set 2 more so I always have everything going so I can do it all again to have more lobsters.Quote:

Got my Green Thumb III achievement a few minutes ago. I've been reviving all trees & bushes in sight lol. But I've noticed that every time I visit one of my friends' farm, they always need the same olive tree & 2 blackberry bushes revived. I heard of that happening, it was like a glitch or something but I thought they supposedly fixed that a few updates ago....oh well I don't mind.

- now have > 200,000 coins.... A first for me
- opened 4th smelter and tried to organize them by metal produced
- started to follow Mind's suggestions about the coffee kiosk, opened two slots with some diamonds I saved and made a few coffee items
- caught a new fish yesterday...a green something...can't remember the full name
- got two achievements over the weekend... The one for fishing 28 days in a row, and....??.....maybe something for certain number of machines / buildings on the farm when I opened the smelter

about the net maker a few pages back.....I only have my lobster pool up to 3 lobsters so I always have 3 crates in the water, and then I usually do 2 nets and then leave 3 fishing spots with the lowest cool down time open for lure fishing. So every 2 hours I can get more fillets. But then I constantly run my net maker. This morning I accidentally threw nets in all but 2 spots I think D: lol, so now I will be waiting forever lol. But having so many nets down gives a chance to stock up on lures and worms.
i just leveled up this morning(56!) and got 2 diamonds and can now plant rice. Wooo! Plus I made enough money in the trucker event to cover the cost of the sushi machine I bought this morning. All the jewelry orders.....some were huge amounts being double coin. I didn't think id like this event as much, but I'm glad I did it.
@dawnica: we were watching the lions vs. the eagles yesterday and they were playing in about 6" of snow. Snow football is more fun to watch.

I am just home from workin 11 hours! Mornind drive snow storm tomorrow, so I will get up early and get in before the snow, so another long day tomorrow.
Mug....I am in the Philly area so we watched the Lions Vs. Eagles game too. We did not get as much snow at my house as at the game. At was "train snowing" over the stadium area. Got about 2 inches of snow north and east of the city and they got 8 to 10 inches of snow south and east of the city. The stadium is south.
Most of the snow in my yard is melted. We are forcasted for 3 - 5 inches more tomorrow. e don't have the cold like Mosey does so our snow usually melts between storms.
Off to my farm now, haven't tended it since 530 am!!!!

Mosey, thank you! I will get up early and drive into orknwhile all the crazies are still sleeping. It is going to star snowing again at 6 am. Roads are lear here now, so i should be fine. Is supposed to sto snowing beore 3 pm so if i wait until 6 pm things should be ok going home.
With this past weekend's event i was able to make 350-400k & now im able to upgrade the lobster pool to max capacity (6 lobsters), buy the candy machine when i level up, & still have enough left to buy 4 or 5 more golden wall pieces.

Im grateful for your insight into your choices...and explaining the dangers that lurk ahead...(cant wait for all those machines -not!)...its interesting how everyone has a different take on the game isn't it? Ive never used the slot opening intentionally, they just happen as the game progresses. Probably a good thing from the sound of it.
My choices ATM, are go mining or fishing...plus a few pesky critters to annoy me as they roam all over the country-side. (yes, that bothers me which is why I dont have any yet!).
Its just so hard to know which direction is best tho? You seem to enjoy BOTH mining AND fishing...(thanks for that!) LOL.
Really tho, the fishing sounds fun, and the mining more like another task/chore to me.
Guess it doesn't really matter as they both have to be tackled eventually?
ANY ADVICE ON PRIORITISING....FISHING OR MINING FIRST ? ....will be glady accepted and taken on board.
I was extremely fortunate when I started to be taken under the wing of a couple of truly special people....(didnt really give them much choice as I nudged my way in there). Without ther guidance and generosity I would probably be out of the game by now...or just flat broke from buying diamonds to stay in! So I understand your commitment to helping the newer players.
I think thats the most positive aspect of this game...that people who have not just mastered the game itself, but succeeded want to pass on that knowledge and share their gains with other players. Its surprising to me as I didnt expect such generosity from strangers in a "social" game (Im a first timer).
Having said that eveyone is very generous with their time and experience...(tho how you all keep up with the forums I do not know!).
So maybe I'll be lucky enough to get some opinions on which area to open next?
Might be a good time to revisit some sticky's for general advice too.

Mosey- yes I know it is an insane amount of $. I actually surprised myself lol. I think that it was just pure coincidence & luck that I was planning on doing a ton of truck orders this weekend before I even found out about the event so I starting making stuff days before it began & was able to to somewhere between 400-500 truck orders all together. But I think the jewelry orders contributed ALOT towards my finishing coin amount. I did a lot of jewelry orders because I knew they'd be doubled & coincidently I had Tom hired so he went out for a lot of jewelry runs.
Pinkstarbelly- yeah I figured since I made so much I should put it to good use & go ahead knock out that achievement instead of buying more golden wall pieces which at first I was going to do but decided it would help me in the long run since I would be able to sell more lobster tails & lobster products.

The mine takes shovels, tnt and dynamite to get the ore, and the bars take a huge amount of time to produce in the smelters. One of the upsides, is that the truck orders for metal bars give you vouchers. But it takes a long time to have enough bars for one order.

Then I opened the fishing area and started the net repair thing...accidentally opened some random fishing area/zone, tried to hook a fish after watching the demo (and lost it! LOL), so I left and am now going directly to the "how to fish dept"!!!
Trouble with the both opening is storage for all those tools! (Prob been suggested before, but why oh why cant we have a tool shed?)
As far as catch-ups....well, I'll have to bow down to the almighty jam maker soon, now Ive levelled up (again! Boy that comes around quickly!)
Still have no pets - by choice really at this time, but Ill have to bite the bullet on that now too cos Ill need those vouchers for fishing they reckon!
Aside from that its all good. Cannot complain...Ive had a great fortnight game-wise and really, really enjoyed myself! Which is the whole point entirely isn't it?

I would really recommend saving your vouchers for pets. You don't have to use vouchers to fish. Vouchers are just used to catch different types of fish. When it all comes down to it, all you need is a fish fillet & you can get that either way with lures made with vouchers or by using the free red worm (I think it's called the red worm). They have a free lure you can use to fish with, no vouchers needed to make, the only downside is that it takes the longest to make (the red worm as I mentioned before). But heck that's pretty much all I fish with, I hardly ever use vouchers. I'm going to wait on using vouchers to fish with until after I get all or most of my pets.Quote:

No you can only 2 types. But then again, I depends on your own preferences. Would you like to catch different types of fish (you get diamonds when you catch new ones) or get pets so you can get experience points. It may seem like little experience points but the more pets you get & the more you wake them up then the more you get (you also can get LEMs, BEMs, & tools for waking them up). And you may or may not regret it later on when you level up since it'll take longer to increase level wise so all those experience points can eventually add up.Quote:

TheDonista- glad I could help. I hope you can decide which one you want to do. If you're not really into getting exp then probably go with fishing with vouchers, you'll get either 1,2, or 3 diamonds for every new fish that you catch. I think the diamonds depend on the weight of the fish (again not totally positive). Maybe someone else can explain better, I don't want to confuse anyone (and myself, i hate it when i confuse myself....lol).
