Yeah, I looked about an hour or so ago, fully expecting a boring regular Derby, so really, really happy to see this instead!

For a little while I felt like I was never going to get out of the town. Fortunately, I had a B&B, Soa, and Cinema time reduction card! So, that helped a lot.
I got lucky and grabbed the fishing one right before I went to bed. So, I was able to do fishing, wake up and finish it.
Got lucky again with back to back mining tasks. Now on a simple syrup production task.
My one NH member is getting taken through the wringer again. Goat milk talk + a market task that required more goat milk as her second task. With the 8 hour cool down timer on goat milk, both tasks are 32 hrs for the first one + 24 hours on the second one. That's basically just over 2 days for just two tasks. Pretty SAVAGE! :rolleyes:
Hopefully her luck turns around, but the same exact thing happened last mystery derby to her. She kept getting pinned with wool, fishing, and goat milk tasks.

I find these mystery tasks addictive. I thought I hated them, but when the derby started, I figured I would try just 1 and see what I got. Then I had to try another... And I continue to get what I consider good tasks, so I keep taking them. :D So far I've gotten:
1 - 6 dancers - had town stacked and just happened to have 4 of the 6 ready to go, so finishing it wasn't a problem.
2 - mine 65 ores
3 - 31 trucks
4 - feed 181 animals (have rose hired, so this one was annoying, but had no issues disabling her feeding)
5 - 22 helps
6 - 22 town visitors
7 - 23 helps
Still have 2 more to go, but I am happy so far. Of course, now that I've said that, my next 2 will likely be goat milk or strawberries!:)

I can't stand the Mystery Derby. I have no control to choose the tasks I want, and no control over those that I NEVER do. You can play the derby and not take mystery tasks. You won’t place but if you do all 320s I doubt very much you will go down a level. The mystery derby is not my favorite either, and the last time I decided to do only 1 mystery task. This time we are going for it, and I’ve had 2 tasks I would ordinarily trash. I’d say pretty diverse tasks this week (last time I was overwhelmed with fishing). Normally I wouldn’t take help or wheating tasks, leaving them to slower/lower level hoodies. Also, I’m not a big fan of boat tasks, so this was my first one in a while.
Disclaimer: under no circumstances would I ever have volunteered for that muscles basket! This was my “once in a blue moon” performance. Hopefully, won’t have to repeat that one again :saywhat:

Tahoe, I’m asking because I’m curious, but did all the players above you do all 400 point tasks or did some do a combination of 400 and 320s? I understand you disappointment and frustration. The nh's that I compete with hardly ever do 320's when there are 400 tasks available. Occasionally, there might be ONE player who has not done a max point task and sometimes 1or2 won't do the extra task (but most are finished with max points within24-48 hrs.).
