I think that boat will remain docked for the duration.
Attachment 21084
Lol, I got that boat too. But just sent it on. Thing is the previous one I had sent away was 2 batches of soy sauce (4 each in crate) and 12 hot chocolates. Only to be replaced by this craziness. I actually burst out laughing when I saw the boat:)
Pssssh, come on guys, it's ONLY 36 bottles of soy sauce. At 3 hours a piece times 36 pieces; it ONLY takes 108 hours or 4 ½ days to make. Clearly, you have plenty of time to make it with your give 15 hours. Lol. Dude, I agree, that is completely berzerk!
the Halloween update for me brought a lot of BUGs to the boat.
- the sugar boats started to get a little ridiculous asking for 10 sugar each multiplied by 5 or even 10 slots.
- the DD started to get filtered for the products you need (imagine a 5 or 6 refresh from the DD without a single egg or even wheat)
- now ever since the new products where lunch all players that are able to get them, only with the criteria of the lv, get "entire" boats of produts even before there where time to finish the machines, without diamonds.
So i have to say that over the past months the bug's have because more and more important, DD, friends list, LAG, diamonds missing, diamonds payed but not received, truck standing, gregs shop, boat orders preview not corresponding to arrived boat, but the only focus seams to be new texture for themas and itens for diamonds.
With this, personnel, opinion all i can say is cast the boat and pray for the next to be "just" half sushi
don't be naive. it's not an issue. it's just a way to make players buy more diamonds they'll spend on speeding up the production of product - in this case a soya sauce.
on the other hand we can send those ships to their unknown destinations. so it's all up to you and depends on how deep pocket you have and what your priorities are.
I find it very interesting those so many people are attaching malicious intent on these sorts of patterns instead of just assuming (as I do) that it is the result of a miscalculation on the part of the programmers that will be corrected down the line. My default position is they are doing the best they can for now and will correct it in the future.
I think a lot of people might not recognize how difficult it is to make sure every last detail is perfect in something as complicated and interconnected as a game like HayDay. Also, Apple restricts the frequency with which a developer can update an app. So even if they found and corrected the mistake the very next day, they could not release an approved update for the app to fix it right away.
If it's a problem that could be fixed on their servers, that would be different, but who's to say how easily something like this can even be corrected?
What if they employed more staff in development and in QUALITY ASSURANCE?
If it is not done on purpose then it is ignorance. And ignorance is very easy to get under control, by introducing standard quality management systems.
That they seem to have that need anyway shows in their lack of internal testing procedures: how the heck can one release a sushi without rice? Initiate a Thank you thread" for non working feature exclamation mark on follower list?
They shouldnt just pile up their profits but invest. In customer satisfaction, in staff and in quality.
Agree with CheddarLimbo. I remember reading about SC fixing the amount of sugars in each crate. Apparently they used to ask for astronomical numbers (way higher than currently). Hopefully they will change the soy sauce.
I have decided to treat them like jams. I will cast boats that ask for it off and use my stash to help neighbors.
I do wonder though, how come I have not seen or gotten boats asking for red scarves or strawberry jams. Have you seen any? Maybe SC forgot to add them to the programming.
@cheddarlimbo - well you have a right to your opinion and so do i to my own ;)
i really don't think that's an error in code because ships like this one are nothing new.
we all know that diamonds are what gives SC their bread. and i really don't think it's malicious to assume they want people to spend more diamonds. but no one is forcing anyone to do so. you don't have enough soya sauce to fill the entire ship with it? cast it off. or you really want to fill it and you have more then enough diamonds (or enough money to buy some more diamonds) to produce 40 or so sauces in no time? it's entirely up to you.
if SC would disable the option to cast off ships, then i would call them greedy. as the things are, they are giving us the options and i love it.
I have seen both, red scarves and strawberry jams.
I filled some crates asking for strawberry jam, so yes, they are there. Not seen anyone asking for scarfs, though.
Every now and then there are boats that ask for the same thing or all items from the same machine on the entire boat. It can happen but usually doesn't happen that often. In my opinion (as a player) I would love to see a boat like that needing all wheat as that would be one of the most easy ones I could think of.
In my opinion it eould be quite boring if every boat was very easy as it would hardly have any challenge. It's just that much more fun when you see the preview of your next boat and it's an easy one. Something a player would never experience if every boat was very easy.
I have played this game for over a year now and have helped out in the Captain 3 thread for some time helping people get their Captain achievement. In all that time I have seen boats wanting nothing else but vanilla ice cream. Or an all jam boat (which would take much longer if you do the math). I have seen boats needing only items kinds from the sugar mill.
There was a time that you needed 8 espresso (as in 8 white sugar) per crate or boats needing 17 brown sugar or 11 white sugar in a single crate. Yes boat orders have been tweaked in the past and sugar is somewhat easier now. My barn has about 70 of each sugar item and I do take on a sugar boat every now and then or help neighbours occasionally with sugars. So yes in my opinion it can be done.
As for this soy sauce boat I probably wouldn't take it on even if I had the stock because recovering from such a boat just takes too long. Well at least not now. Maybe in future if I have the stock of everything else and still need to work on the mastery I might but I doubt it.
My very last boat in the boating event called for red scarves, but I haven't seen one since. I don't qualify yet for the new machines or the new jam, but as far as boats are concerned I have to say mine have gotten MUCH better. In all the boats since the update, I've only had ONE ask for a sugar product (syrup) which I cast off. So far every other boat I've had has asked for produce and regular items (and not jams, either). My next boat is asking for chocolate ice cream, wheat and milk. Those are the kinds of boats I can enjoy filling! So all in all, I have to say the boat situation, at least for me, has improved tremendously.
Still seeing a lot of sugar/dairy boats out there though which I try to help as best I can.
i see it as part of challenge. i helped one of my neighbours this morning with their last crate of soya sauce. and quess what my next ship is asking for? :D
i didn't see it until after i helped a neighbour, but even if i did i would do the same.
my ships achievements are done long ago so i don't really care if i have to send away even five ships in a row. as a matter of fact it would be good thing as i would have more time to produce and sell good, expensive stuff and to earn some money i'm going to need to buy those shushi and salad things :D
So would you like it MORE if you wouldnt have to cast those boats off but could collect vouchers?
I would be bored out of my mind if every boat was so easy. I wouldnt appreciate to see easy boats anymore either.
I wrote a little something about those old sugar boats in my previous post.
I have seen lots of boats asking for red scarfs and strawberry jams around my neighbours farms.
Where people work there is bound ti be a mistake every now and then. The egg sushi was fixed and now needs rice. The ! Tab is for people on the friends list only. It never was introduced for the follower tab. To say it isnt working is quite inaccurate as it's not there at all.
If someone really wants to spend diamonds on a boat like that it would be far cheaper to hire Tom for a day to fetch te soy sauce. 4 runs should cover that boat and one has several runs left to stock up on other stuff.
Haha true but I was actually very happy that Tom is such a lazy bugger. I hired him for 10 days once and had a lot of barn space when I started. Halfway through those 10 days stocking up shovels, rings and jelly beans my barn was bursting and it was more and more difficult storing all the goodies he fetched. I actually hired him to supply both my and hubby's farm with these items and it was still difficult to store it all but we managed of course.
@Shealie. Now that you mention it, I have not gotten boats asking sugar. And only one with soy sauce. I just finished one with fish$chips, strawberry cake, and shepherds pie. Hmmm, interesting.
FYI we moderators (the green names) are 100% volunteers to help out around the forums and are not SC staff. We do however get to speak to SC staff on a daily basis.
I for one do have a passion for both Hay Day and Clash of Clans and so do the other mods. We are just regular players playing the exact same game as everyone with no additional benefits and it's from that experience I share what I have seen in this game. Many players do not remember boats needing 17 brown sugar a crate, times where you couldn't ask for help at all when filling your boat and so on.
Soy sauce, sushi its just a matter of adjusting and we have seen this over and over again in history when the coffee kiosk was added, when fishing was new and many more.
Next time just cast it away if you don't want to or can't fill it....well in this case its impossible to fill! :)
I would say send it off, but...
new update make boats to have at least one of new products to fill in, which is very hard to get, so let say from last 7 boats I was able to fill up one, rest of them I did cast off..
This is so interesting...I have the strawberry jam and the red scarves, but haven't had a single boat requesting them yet. I've seen one neighbor who had the scarves flagged for help on their boat, so was able to fill one of those, but other than that I haven't seen any of the new stuff (that's available to me) on a boat yet.
I also agree with ChedderLimbo that this is an oversight due to the massive amount of code and will be fixed just as the sugars were. Even with the absurd amounts on sugar boats, having a triple order is extremely rare, especially as max per crated, yet this is the third triple order of soy at max per crate in just two days that I've seen. So far, I've only seen I've only one double order of sushi at 2 per crate, that's more in line with regularly get with any item, further convincing me that this impossible soy boat is not what is intended.
I don't remember if I've seen red scarfs, but I think I may have seen one, though not sure. I do know that I've had two neighbors open crates for strawberry jam and I cast off a boat asking for it myself.
Well said. Please remember people that this happened with the lobster/soup kitchen update. It leveled out as it always has. I haven't received an all lobster soup boat since that update came around. I imagine they still happen but no one posts pictures of them anymore. They cast them off and go on or fill them and collect. I do think the look especially horrendous because the look so 3D.
No is forced to buy diamonds. Nothing bad happens if you don't buy them or even never find them in toolboxes. You can still advance without them. One of my friends is now a level 89 and she hasn't bought a single one. Her Barn is an astronomically large one and continues to help lots of us every day I used to play a game where in order to complete a quest, you absolutely had to buy the premium currency and you couldn't cast off that quest unless you paid a penalty with that same premium currency. There is nothing you can't do in this game without diamonds except to buy decorations that are OPTIONAL. Even then if you want them bad enough you can hope to find diamonds in toolboxes, on the wheel, or from leveling up or even in the mine. Yes the diamond ring and the mystery net require diamonds but you don't have to make them in order to master the jewelry machine or to fish.
The computer randomly puts up the boat requirements and if the game was too hard or too easy, no one would play, at least not as long as most of us play.
Do I think SC is perfect? I do not. I think it takes way too long for an answer to a problem ticket. I think a diamond confirmation button is essential and needed. But, I believe them when they say they are testing it, and if they say "sorry it didn't test well and we are abandoning the attempt", i think they will have made a major mistake. I believe others who say they have gotten replies to their trouble tickets and that they are backlogged. If that backlog never breaks, that too will be a mistakes in my book. But outrageous boat orders?, that is a minor blip in the game with an obvious answer. Cast it off and wait for the next one. the end.
I think you might be alone, or in a very small group with this belief. It has been my experience that people WANT to fill their own boats. As a member of the Captain's achievement group, I remember many times having candidates who wouldn't open any crates for us to fill even if it meant the boat would go the full time. They might ask us to sell them an item (we usually sold at default price), but only after they couldn't find it themselves in the DD even at max price.
There were a few who seemed to want everyone else to do the work for them. They wanted the captain's hat but didn't want to buy the machines to make the products appropriate to their level and they wanted to purchase all the boats requirements instead of taking the time to make the ones they could make, but they were few and far between.
If we could always open all crates for help, then the achievement would belong to our helpers and not to ourselves. what's the fun in that.
I prefer it this way, but to each his own.
♥♥♥♥ wow that's ludacris man!! Anything to make more money!!! They've completely lost their minds...I'm not a high enough level to make the products yet but even I know that's insane!!! -_-
I am expecting yet another boat wanting soy sauce which will be sent on:(
Soy sauce boats seem to be in the same category as sugar and cream ones!:(
I have seen a couple of boats wanting strawberry jam on neighbours boats but I have not had one ....yet.
No red scarves though.
I'm new here....but I got this message pound and clear once I achieved my captain 3. If I don't want to part with what is in the boat, I send it away early and empty. I made the exception during the boat event, but prior to that I've been casting off quite a bit. Got a crazy ne last evening that everything on it involved dairy and diary and sugar. My farm staff works had to get me those items. My machines run now stop as I sneak in during the day and over night to queue them back up.
So if you don't like the boat send it away and wait for the next one. kinda like street cars and men....there will be another one coming along....
Have a great day / night..where ever you are.
In the ideas thread I posted that SC should put 4 different items on their boat orders instead of 3 and make the quantities less. Now that we have SO many products to make, this would make sense. Thank goodness the new items don't ask for any sugar products, even the strawberry jam, which is weird!
My 1st boat order ( after the update) was for the soya sauce mmmm that got sent sailing fast. I've had one in today with the mayo on. I was very surprised that there were just 4 crates to fill with just ONE mayo in each crate. I was also surprised to see crates of strawberries , I can't remember the last time I had a boat asking for them.
I'm now awaiting my next boat order which has soya sauce on.
I thought I was the only one.
I've just reached the level to unlocked the sauce maker and I don't even have enough money to build the sauce maker yet, how would I produce this boat?
the game should not send you boats with crates you don't have a machine for. the admin need to fix that
I have had a red scarf for sale since the day they appeared. Still not bought. So my inclination is to agree...there are very very few if any boat or truck orders for them. Soybeans, on the other hand, go flying off the shelves, and I know it's due to those soy sauce orders! Until I reach that level where I make soy sauce, this is the most reliable, quick production and turnaround sale I have found. No, you don't make a huge profit on one order, but as they say, volume volume, volume! It adds up!
Soy sauce crates are the new dairy/sugar crates.
Oh, how I long for the days when you could open every crate on your boat....sigh....it was such a rush to go boat hunting, putting things in boats and getting XP for them, rather than having junk accumulate in your barn, taking up space because you don't want to sell it just for coins. Now my barn is crammed full at all times, and I spend forever trying to find boats to put things in. Leveling up takes absolutely forever. I very nearly quit when they restricted the open crates to 3, but somehow I hung on. I'm addicted, I guess.
I wish they would have a boat event where you could open every crate, that would be fun. I would also like to try an event where every crate would be asking for a different item.
~powdermonkey
I concur- pumpkins are sooo much better than sugar....says me, waiting for her double brown sugar boat to dock. Cast off matey, cast off!!!:(
Update... I no sooner wrote the above, and my boat came in and was cast off. Next boat calls for.....PUMPKINS!!! Thank you, Shealie! You must have sent good wishes my way for something I can actually fill! Lol....
oh..lol. I have soy sauce, soy sauce, cornbread on its way on my next boat and wondered to myself if it was possible to have JUST soy sauce on the boat? Now I see this thread. Too funny.
I agree with you Tigger, it was the same when lobsters and soup maker were introduced.
I have had far more soy sauce boats than I had soup ones I think. I have been getting 2 or 3 each day and apart from 2 have cast them off. The next one, again is soy sauce so it will be leaving the dock unfilled.
I saw one of those earlier today. I don't remember if it was a friend's boat or a followers, but every crate required 3 soy sauce! Unfortunately, I guess they didn't know of the cast off option because it was just sitting there, 3 pitiful surrender flags limp in the wind...every crate wide open for the world to see...oh, the sorrow. :(
