Feedback from diamond confirmation test group
So having tried out the double tap to confirm diamond usage here are my thoughts. It does not impede my gameplay in any way. When I want to spend diamonds i am not in the least put off or deterred from doing so by having to tap again. It actually makes me feel more secure in spending them because I am sure I won't waste more a couple taps or swipes later. I think the double tap option is a great solution to such a common problem everyone has. I would love to see it implemented to everyone soon. Wish I had it a few months ago when I spend over 300 diamonds in a single tap buying nails on my hubby's farm, but so glad to have it now.
To sum up i have spent more diamonds since the update than I had in months previously. I think it is great and I would feel much more comfortable now buying diamonds since i know they will be spent on things that actually benefit my farm. Thanks SC for working on this. Hope to see everyone having it soon.
just got an answer on my ticket
I am considered a fair minded person so when I complain about something, it isn't trivial but when I get results, I also share that.
I just got an answer to my long over due trouble ticket about diamonds disappearing after logging off. They apologized for the delay and said my ticket got lost in the system, and asked me to confirm the number that I lost. Since it had been some time I couldn't remember and told them that. BUT i also told them that I was just as pleased that they responded and also pleased that they were working on a confirmation button and that was enough for me, for now. However I also told them that until a button was released I was not likely to buy anymore diamonds because the added stress of worrying that I might accidentally spend or lose them wasn't worth it since I play to relax.
So that's my story so far. My question to the testing people. Are they asking you for feedback? What feedback are they looking for? How will they know that it is working. Have they shared that with you. Any of you who had the first type of button. Did they communicate with you to get your feedback? i wonder how that all works. When I was alpha/ beta tester for a pocket pc game we were given access to a spreadsheet to report bugs and problems. Is that being done here?
Diamond Confirmation - Testing Questions
OK - so we all have begged for the diamond confirmation button ...... Forever. Many of us have doubts that SC is really serious about ever changing this. When things get rolling on these threads, SC or the moderators, are quick to close down the thread and point us to the link where we can vent ..... To avoid 'clutter.'
So I will not complain about the button, or lack of it, but rather ask some other pointed questions about the current testing of a confirmation button.
1) we have heard that a random selection of users received this test version. How were those random users chosen? From what I have read of people who have it, they appear to be lower level farms or baby farms to much larger farms. Was that a Coincidence or Planned? Many do not spend or have no intention of spending on diamonds - button or no button. Many appear to be infrequent players too.
2) Exactly How many people are included in the test group? If SC does not want to divulge specifics, then what is the percentage of the total farms that received the button.
3) Is there a formal process for these test farms to report their opinions and findings (follow up survey, dedicated site to report pros and cons, etc) or is SC just going to wait and see if anyone comments on the forum boards? A lot of the testers did not know they had it. If you do not try to spend diamonds, how would you know?
4) And last but not least, it does seem very odd that other changes which impacted the way the game is played and are almost evenly divided as to if it was good or bad for the game (help on the DD ads, shaded boxes, names of buyers) are implemented with no warning or similar test group. The UI issue that Nick mentioned just before our new moderator took over (that they may have to go back to square one) rings a little hollow to those of us who have a more than passing knowledge of IT and programming. It looks like a set up to set expections very low on a rollout to everyone in the very near future.
So, those are my comments. I (and others) would welcome any feedback from SC, to this thread. Or ..... You can just close the thread and point us to the same link to avoid 'clutter.'
