I'm not sure about SC's motivation either. I dont see that it would be a 'back to drawing board' necessity. If the trial can be sent out to some players, why not all of us? Do it for a set period and then look at the findings. Seems more fair than just a random number- how many? What criterior was used to select the lucky few? Hopefully we will all have a great surprise when we find that we all have a confirmation button in our Christmas stockings- no harm in wishful thinking eh?

Feedback from diamond confirmation test group
1). I don't know how many you're talking about but personally, aside from my own baby farm, the only person I've read mentioning their babycalso being invthe test group is MarySC. So with only 2 baby farms, I do think it's a coincidence. Also, although I don't know what level Mary's baby farm is, mine in level 64 and although it's not super high, I wouldn't call it low. I might not be playing on it nearly as much as my pink farm, you can kind of get a hum of how much it's been played on for it to be level 54. I think many farms that's within the test group is around this level as it somehow represents an "average leveled player".
2). Idk.
3). All testers SHOULD show that they have it. The scarecrow which usually pops up for tutorials popped up telling us about it so it's quite hard to somehow miss it. From what I've read around the forum it's the people who ARE NOT testers that are confused if they have it or not, understandably, as the scarecrow didn't visit non-testers to rub it in their face that there's a test group but they didn't make the cut. Idk about follow up serveys but I think they do moniter feedback from FB, twitter and here at the forum. Or maybe they can collect data of how much this function is being used.
4). I'm not sure on how long you've played so maybe you don't how bad things can get if something is added to the game (for everyone) and then taken back but I've been playing for over a year and once upon a time, it wasn't possible to ask for help with boats. Then it was and all crates could be open, it was awesome and that period of time was my all time favorite because I was having so much fun being busy filling crate. Then they changed itand limited it to 3 crates per boat and the form as a REAL mess for over a month, I kid you not. People were furious, the forum became hostile and so many people stopped playing. So I do understand why they choose to proceed carefully with a test group first, although I wonder how long this will be tested as I think it's great and would like for everyone to get to utilize it.
Has any tester ever been contacted by SC for feedback?
As I posted earlier today in the wrong thread, I have not been contacted for feedback.
I'm not sure exactly when I got the confirmation button. I started playing Hay Day right before Halloween. I ended up at these forums when I ran a search on how to get friends besides facebook. It was after reading the forums that I discovered I had accidently been using diamonds myself.
Shortly after that I got the confirmation button and still have it. I love it, have not lost a diamond since. I have accidently hit it numerous times, but then this little blue and yellow exclamation point pops up and it says tap again to confirm. I have not once(at least not that I am aware of)tapped a second time by accident. I always tap somewhere else on my farm and then the exclamation point goes away and your back to having the lighting thing. I tap elsewhere, just to be sure I don't accidently tap that exclamation point again.
It's a bit different then the box that asks you to confirm on the diamond ring. Either has a chance of you accidently still hitting it by either confirming(diamond ring)or tapping again(exclamation point).
I have had no problems with it at all, and I don't foresee anyone else having a problem using it. While still possible to accidently use diamonds by taping again, that to me would be more of a user fault issue. I'm not sure if they could make it anymore dummy proof(pardon the expression), when the IPhones and IPads are made to swipe with fingers. I have small fingers, but I have troubles with the whole swipe thing. I hate my phone, I don't like the IPad any better because of it. But that is an apple issue and until they change that, I don't see how SC can make this totally dummy proof.
So that is my 2 cents on this, it works wonderful and I don't believe I have accidently used a diamond since I got it.
PS-I feel guilty that I have it, while some of my neighbors who have been playing longer and are at higher levels then me do not have it. I don't think they should have sent them out at random, should have sent them to players who have been playing the longest and most likely have lost the most diamonds.
I started playing in December. My farm has a confirmation feature. If I want to use a diamond I need to press the button and hold it. If I just tap it, I get a message to hold it down if I want to use diamonds. Even with this feature I did accidentally use diamonds to speed up something one time. But it has saved me a lot of other times. I think this is good to have and I did not realize it was not on every farm.
I edited this as I went off topic and my rant was pointless

Just a reminder that, despite some older posts, this thread is for those who were lucky enough to be randomly chosen to test the different types of buttons to give their feedback. It's not a place to post anything not directly related to the feedback.
For those wondering, I can't say for certain, but I suspect that it was a programmed random generator that did the choosing. No special criteria, just a program picking at random, like pulling names out a hat.
Thanks for the cooperation in not turning this into another complaint thread and forcing it's closure. This feedback is too important to to everyone fo:)r that to happen.
