expansion co-op?

i saw someone somewhere mention an expansion co-op where multiple farms pool expansion materials and take turns upgrading. anyone got the details on that? all these new products to store and never enough room!!

I have never heard of such a creature, but I would be interested . . . what are ground rules?

It was between I, mzmflo, and another member of this forum which rarely posts but used to do that for trading, Joselaine. Joselaine and I are friends IRL and we three happen to live in the same timezone. Joselaine & I in Indonesia & mzmflo in Australia.
Joselaine has her own stash, I have my own stash, and mzmflo, because she has the lowest level between us three and constantly has full barn, gives all her BEMs to me on a daily basis.
Before I knew mzmflo, I have already pool my stuff together with Joselaine. If I'm 10-20 stuff away from upgrading, I just ask her and vice versa.
Then I got to know mzmflo and her first intention was to relieve her barn and coz I was always looking for BEMs, she gave them all to me. She's very generous, actually :) Then I think it's quite unfair for her and since it doesn't take long to get the amount for her to upgrade, and moreover her barn is constantly full so she definitely need to upgrade more than me I offered her to upgrade there & then and it became habit since then!
No ground rules, just sense of fairness and trust to each other :) One time I had enough to upgrade myself and the barn was constantly full because of all those BEMs crowding and I can't meet mzmflo in Hay Day all day to transfer all the stuff so I decided to go for it and upgrade even though it's not my turn and I told mzmflo afterwards.
So I actually act like a mediator between them, since I'm the one closer to mzmflo and Joselaine has quite random online time (she has a baby, she can go OL whenever the baby sleeps) so I do all the division and keep notes on whose turn is it now.
Perhaps mzmflo will add something tomorrow, if there's any mistake here in my version of story, the mistake is purely mine and my bad memory :) :p

This sounds neat.

What would be the ground rules and how would it work?

thanks for answering misspinky!! hmm, interesting concept. so it could work like i need 30 for my next expansion, perky has all 30 that i need, so perky helps me expand. then i just hold onto all the bems i get and give em to perky or whoevers turn is next, kaptivator. (just an example) seems like it could really work if you kept group small, had trust, could match up drop farms (like how some farms are tape farms yet others plank farms). keep a record of who is inputting what so perhaps if 1 person isn't inputting as much as others, they get skipped for a round or something, idk on that part cuz of lower lvls won't generate as much bems or a group member is a wheater or has beaucoup hours more to play, so that could be tricky.

hmm, excuse the mess of brainstorm above while i work this around.

Where would the materials be stored until its time for someone to upgrade?

How would we choose who upgrades and who is next to upgrade?

My farm always gets a variety of things...So how would that work in regards to contribution? Should everything be contributed and then traded for whats needed?

Will it be just BEM or BEM and SEM? If only BEM, will we designate someone to house the SEM and then have them offer them on the trade board for BEM since the focus will only be BEM. Or do we divide up what's not needed for members to sell off for coin or trade?

just questions that i was thinking of that higher level players may have more experience with.

This concept sounds great I would greatly be interested in such a group. I usually have entirely too many tapes and always need bolts planks just kind of fall into place

-good question as shifting of all these materials should be kept to a minimum. one option i cannot say here.

first look at who has what vs who needs what and see where it makes the most sense to start, then triage from there. def could be tricky.

yes i think everything would be pooled together and then any extra traded for the shortages.

good question. you could put lems with the sems for trading for the bems...BOOM.
