But it does take some time, fermenting and all..no seriously, I hear mayo is only 15 mins so soy sauce should be anywhere from 30 to 60 mins. Not at a level to get the machines yet, but can't wait and see how it all works out once there :)
I know, but we were talking about soy sauce :) I still think 3 hrs is a bit much. Once I get there it will take some days to build a nice stock...wait, I have Tom ;)
It should be flip flopped. At this pace it will take forever to make sushi. Not to mention one of my friends had a boat with 3 crates of 4 soy sauces each. At 3 hours a piece it will take 36 hours to make that many. You have 4 hours between boats and 16 hours to fill it, that's 20 hours. Do the math 20 - 36 = - 16!!
Agree with you, sojasauce should not take longer than an hour. Also olive oil and mayo should be the other way around in terms of producing.
It will be treated much the same way as the jams which also take a ridiculous amount of time - it will be hoarded and parceled out sparingly, either to help with others' boats or one's own boats. I NEVER sell jam in the RSS because it takes too long to make - it's used strictly for my and others' boats and I rarely have much on hand at all. It almost makes the 4-hour cheesecake look like a "quickie."
On the other hand you'll get the mastery star relatively quickly because the machine will never stop running. :)
And if you think about it, making bars of silver and gold take sooo much longer than the jewelry that we have the option to buy five smelters. At the rate it takes to make soy sauce compared to sushi I predict we will never see soy sauce for sale unless the seller doesn't have the sushi machine.
To me mayo and olive oil are somewhat of a different story since they are made in the same machine. You can either make one or the other but not both at the same time. These two products don't really "clash".
If you think about there are many more examples like these in the game and to me they are part of the challenge. Just to name a few of these examples. Most coffees cook way faster then the white sugar you need in some of them with espresso having the biggest difference which only takes 5 minutes yet the white sugar needs at least 34 minutes. Pizza cooks in at least 12 minutes and the cheese takes 51 min to make. Baked potato is ready in 29 minutes yet it needs 1 cheese and 1 cream or 68 minutes of dairy products. And there are more like these.
Opening a few slots will help to get the mastery and make soy sauce at night. Once the mastery is finished it will be slightly easier but will remain challenging. If it weren't for the soy sauce being a challenge here it would probably be the fish or lobster tails as it would be hard to get enough of them with the production times and fish area cool downs.
Yes it will take some time to build up a certain minimum stock level for all who are at the level the could buy all the machines at once already. These machines do all unlock at different levels so for those players not there yet it will be easier as the new products and machines are introduced slowly to them meaning they have time to build up stock before needing them for sushi and so on.
