Sure at the beginning of the league, but day 1 of sports season everyone is ranked number 1 too! And this would start to iron itself out over time.... Yes the beginning would be not great, but it's better then where trophies are going now.

You can't make me care about winning until I can get more loot, or as much loot, or even half as much loot as I can farming.

I don't care how I am ranked or what I can do for the % win, "yards gained", "RBI" if I am going to be so poor I can't use my builders.

Nothing especially wrong with the idea, just that SuperCell need to make it worth anyone's while...

The league system is in place. If I want to try my hand at Champion league, why not? I will get pummeled, and then I will switch leagues at the end of the two weeks (again it's all in place).

Next time I will try the Master lvl, guess what I win more there, and hence I have a better rank....

Then over time my overall rank will be established, but I choose where to enter into the system, rather then it choosing for me....

You're not arbitrarily placed in a league. You are placed in a league based on the number of trophies you have. This number is well defined and consistent.

If everyone could choose their league, why wouldn't they all choose champion? This would make the league system completely pointless.
