Rather then using a trophy system, why not just follow what works. Win/Losses and the % is where you rank. I mean it can't be that hard to do this, can it?
You could leave the trophies in place, add this component and phase trophies out over time... What's even better is this is how the clan wars could be ranked as well... just sayin :confused:
Then you can also add the league as a relevant piece as well.... All of it would fit together nicely.

OK thanks for the stimulating feedback, and why not? Apparently the rest of the world see's winning a game as a fine way to record it? It's actually a perfect answer for the trophy pushers. They have incentive to keep winning, and if they lose, well then guess what, the rank goes down... It will keep people pushing.Quote:

Your system also presents other issues:
Imagine a person starting out. They win their first battle, so now their wins/loss % is 100%. Does that mean they now match with other folks in champion league? Of course, the logical response to that is to base it on the number of total matches as well. The big problem with that is it prevents me from gemming my base to the max and then making my way up the leader board where some of those folks have won perhaps thousands of matches. So now what do we do? Do we add TH level as a component to the match making? If so then you get all of the TH related matching problems.
It simply needs to be based on the league system that is in place currently. Rather then arbitrarily placing me in a league, why not let me choose which league I want to battle in?Quote:

How would the league system work then? I think trophies are better because winning one battle will give you 20 trophies on avg while with win lose you would only go up one variable. Like someone said above it would take months to get an accurate ratio and even then lots of clans are a trophy hunting/farming hybrid. It would be hard to raise your ratio after a few weeks of farming and losing a lot.Quote:

The two week league system, you enter it like you normally do, but rather then the system putting you in, you put yourself in the league. Like I said before, if I want to try Champions league, good for me, that doesn't mean I will do very well those two weeks. My record maybe 2 wins and 350 losses so for 352 battles my percent is .005% chances are my rank will be low. Hence the good players will ultimately prevail. Does that make sense?
So you could have world rankings by league rather then all of us together, again just like how the leagues are setup today.
A noob that enters the champions league will quickly learn that was a bad idea and never enter that league again at that lvl, they will improve and come back later.
Each league will have the loot bonuses, and at the end of the league they will also have bonuses for winning. This will give those that win the Master League, for example, something to actually strive for...
