[One And Only] Special Lunar New Year Obstacle 2018

Seems true as far as i know and researched. It is not about edge spawning layouts, not about having layout 1,2 tiles dearer to the edge, certainly not about updating app on older linked devices, oh just to add i also tried changing language to Chinese for a day and Indonesian bahasa for another but no F trees at all, and i can guarantee you being offline for a week won't help you either.

Lololololol I have 18 of these lunar New Year obstacles on one base xD

Appears to be not much more than luck and patience.The thing that makes it impossible to work out is how the initial problem affected spawn rates and wether or not it was fixed with the last maintenance break and update.Have a feeling we will never find out.Maybe they will extend the event to compensate us?LOL,LOL,LOL-l'm just soooooo funny sometimes,it's a gift!

There is actually more to it than luck and patience. All that I can figure till now is
1. Supercell has made some significant changes in this lunar spawning. (whether it is intentional or programming error is yet to be known). But it is different than other holiday spawnings we had till date is quite evident.:unsure:
2. There are certain factors affecting the lunar spawning. One of which is ones total obstacle mass count thats for sure.:smirk:
3. They made some adjustments to the spawning in last maintenance. What was it actually, was it just a name change from "tree" to "fortune tree" or something more to than what meets the eyes I can only imagine.:confused:

now until there are any official confirmation on what is really happening we are on our own to conclude what we think is going on.:facepalm:

Just interested to know why you think it has something to do with total obstacle mass count.Not saying your wrong,just interested.
I tried googling this topic to try and find out some detailed info on how this spawning stuff works but there doesn't seem to be much out there other than the 'basics' on wiki.Have you found anything?Maybe it's just another one of those things that only SC knows.
Anyway,back to the waiting............

There are posts in previous pages in this thread from members with more than 45 obstacle mass cap, claiming they are yet to get any lunar special ones in their mains while their minis are getting them in abundance. If you can go through them you w'd know.:thumbsup:

Personally if you ask me I have been following bases of few of my friends (with more than 50 total obstacles, some even at 60-80s) all of which only got 1 firework stash as i speak right now including me. :facepalm:

Yeah,you could be onto something.
My base has about 30 specials and 6 regulars.I have 1 tree and 1 fireworks stash.I would consider this about a normal number to expect as in previous seasonal events you seem to get 1 about every 4 days,roughly.So hopefully my 3rd will spawn soon.
But the strange thing is that the regular obstacles have almost stopped completely.I have only had a couple spawn in about 4-5 days.Wierd.

I may be able to help.

I was was in the same situation and wasn't getting any lunar obstacles at all while my clan mates were getting many, I messaged sc directly asking why this was and if there was a change of ruling on the obstacles limit. They informed me that I would need to have less than 45 obstacles to be able to receive the lunar obstacles. I though this as unusual as holiday obstacles can usually spawn over the limit but figured it was worth a try. They were spot on with their advice and the next day I got fireworks, since then I have kept myself to about 42 holiday obstacles (at least one of every holiday obstacle since launch) now I have the full collection all neatly boarded.
I hope this info helps you like it did me and you get your obstacles you have patiently been waiting for.

If you read Tulls one and only lunar obstacle thread ther are players with more than 45 special obstacles who got the lunars.So that is an interesting reply from SC.
