Taking it easy now...

I can honestly understand the frustration...I've felt it with other games and have certainly felt the greed of some game makers, but having said that, Hay Day is one of the very few games that I HAVEN'T felt frustrated or that they were pushing anything on me.

A good example (without naming names) is another game I downloaded...you can buy the first of most everything with coins, but if you want a second patch for crops you have to pay 30 of the in-game special money...the ones you pay real money for. 30!! To equate that to real money...I bought $1.99 USD and that gave me 50 of that special money. Now that seems greedy to me.

Super didn't make you do anything, they just offered a game you could play for free. I have played for over a year without spending a dime and still enjoy my time tending my farm. Fill a order or don't fill an order, buy a building or don't buy a building etc... It's my farm and I get to do as I want without any game designers input. Sounds like some people need to stop, take a deep breath and reevaluate why they play this game and it is just a game.

I am am very frustrated by the lack of diamond CB also. To watch my young son cry painful tears at accidentally losing diamonds on his game infuriates me. Really?!? You can't find 15 diamonds in 5 day playing, visiting 30-50 farms daily? That's strange, then we MUST play different games. As for "diamond usage confirmation button" request that comes from many players I would sign request but I am sure it would never happen. I am sorry to hear that accidently diamonds lost upset your son, but kids are generaly luck of patente and I am not sure that young children would control their diamonds usage even if confirmation button existed.

BTW @All what do you thing about so called freemiums where players are forced to purchase energy just to play longer? HD absoulutely rules out of all free games I ever played.

I have the confirmation thingie going on in my game. I have to hit the speed up button twice and I love it because now theres no more accidental use of diamonds!

I love this game and i admit every now and then i will buy diamonds and you know why? Because just like people buy cigarettes, chocolate, lottery tickets I too like to spend money on myself and 1-5 dollars every few weeks is not going to break my bank and makes this game more fun! So what if super cell is getting filthy rich! Good for them for having the bloody brilliant ideas and skills to make this game a success!

I mean if you have such a problem people making a profit then i can think of a few more things you would have to boycott!!! Maybe even join the Amish! ;)

I see your points, and i am seriousy overdoing it now:

SC is as genoruous with free game play and diamonds as a drug dealer.

I would love to see their analyses, I bet that e vast majority of players will sooner or later spend money. The remaining minority is still useful to keep the myth of free game play alive. That is all, nothing really to become emotional about, no reason for gratefulness.

And it is not true that free gamers wouldnt give anything in return. They give hours of their lives, they give free promotion on FB (like feature, page etc), help search ranking results, comments etc. No worries, every single player here have their roles in the business plan.

And of course it is a company. Founded and run by brilliant minds. Exploiting a general trend, people of the 21st century buy into relaxation and wellness. People can see that the rat race for matter (money) doesnt buy happiness...

SC has understood that early and offered a game, beautifully made, with tons of features to attract the social, emotional, spiritual yearnings of people. Well done. They have branded themselves as social, very successfully. If you want to make money fast now, make anything that promises well-being, spiritual development, relaxation etc. that is all fine with me.

It just disgusts me how openly they show their greediness, why does it hurt them so much making the next ten millions two weeks slower than they could? Or a month slower than they could? They would have to step back and give a little more happiness to their customers... but ok, when you are greedy, there always comes the moment you cant hold back anymore.

Everyone will see your true sobbing vampire face. I guess they dont mind, nothing but money (and power) is important to them. But I do mind and that is why I spend my valuable time on other ways of non-material matters now.

Ilkka Paananen, CEO of Supercell, wrote in Helsingin Sanomat (the biggest newspaper in Finland) Nov 13 that more than 90 % of players play for free, ie less than 10 % have used money.

It would be really interesting to find out when people who decide to buy diamonds make their first purchase. Are there people who buy diamonds from the beginning, or do they start after level 21 or 45 or something else? What percentage of level 60 players have used money?

I haven't bought diamonds yet but am making a diamond plan, will buy some soonish. I'm very happy with the way I have been able to play the game without diamonds.

Sweetie, I don't necessarily agree but that doesn't matter. If you feel this bad, then don't feel bad, just stop playing. You don't need our permission or for us to agree with you. The game doesn't bring you joy anymore and that's OK. I think it is good that you have recognized this, but don't feel you need us to validate your feelings. Do what makes you happy. If you feel this way, the only thing that will make you better is to stop dwelling on it and find something that gives you joy, and do it. When I get tired of a game, i find another. There is nothing wrong with that. If you aren't quite sure (but i feel that you are) take a break. Try another game. Everyone needs to do whatever keeps them happy and relaxed. No game is worth getting stressed over.
