Th8 - Going For Masters

I'm a TH8 with maxed basic troops (barbs arch etc.) and my clan just started a trophy push.
Would it be possible to make it to masters? with the new revenge time thing I believe exists I probably wouldn't get revenged by anyone.

So my question to you is... can I make it to masters?

so far I have recieved many different opinions from Global Peeps, some were idiots, some seemed nice enough and I even found TomRapp on global and got his opinion as well. But I probably haven't got yours...!

So please tell me, can I make it to the masters league?

Yes, you can definitely get there. People in my clan are doing it as th8's and, there are plenty of even town hall 5's in masters! I personally just barched to masters, but I'm a town hall 9. Patience is key, good luck!

What lv are your drags and minions?

theangryryno > You can definitely push to Masters at your level. One of my clan mates, in TH8 as well, was able to do it last night. Add to that, he only uses level 5 barbarians for attacks. You just have to be patient in looking for bases that you plan to attack.

Drags = Lv3, finished today!
Minions = Lv2, spent DE on Barb King upgrade instead

Where are you in trophies?
If you are below 2000 use giant healer to get there
2000-2300 you can use giant wizard healer
2300-2600 Drag minion. Refer to this combo: 8 lv 3 drags, 18 lv 3 minions, 4 archers, and 3 Lv 5 lightning.

I'm at 1800 right now. Is it an issue if if my minions are only lv2?

No, it's not. I upgraded my minions to 3 when I was at 2300, you'll be fine if you use them. U get lots of de there

I am also th8, maxed, and made it with only arch, barbs and rage spells.

Once you reach masters, as others have said, it will be difficult to stay there because you will get revenged a lot by high level players.

My advice would be to farm your way back down once you get the gems. You're going to lose trophies anyway, might as well hit all of the th10's and take advantage of he huge loot.

Some of my biggest raids were in crystal I and II coming back down from masters.

My Th8 is far away from maxxed but I'm gonna give it my best shot!

said above, idk if you saw, will go farm down again as soon as I get there. Plenty of loot to swim in!

I wish I could have done it myself but didn't have the patience up in Crystal I...

nice effort by Big Trubba! those gems look so nice! really need a 4th builder. And I'm 13 with like $30 so theres no way I'm paying any money for gems!

If you really want to, and have all the time in the world, of course you can do it! My TH9 got sniped, and overtaken, by numerous TH8 and TH7 during my own little "push" to masters in the last week. And yes, I revenged at least 2, despite the change to revenge rules. One of those TH7 was actually pushing further, or trying to, I saw him in Masters for 2 days. Most use barbs and archers, maybe some minions, maybe a few giants.

My advice for troops would be:
1) if you have infinite time, TH snipe with barbs and archers.
2) if you have loads of time, use 16 level 5 balloons and the rest minions, and look for bases weak vs an air assult on the TH
3) if you don't have loads of time, gem it, and use whatever army floats your boat to raid like there's no tomorrow, in what time you do have.
