Other forum sections need more love

Been more active in the forums lately and can't help but noticed most of the activities centered around those few sections such as General and Clan Wars.

Fact: You're more likely to get replies for posting a rant "Coc is dying", a repeated complaint "clouds are terrible", or a question asked a thousand times "will I get clan rewards if I leave the clan before it ends" in General than you are if you ask about a legitimate strategy question in Tactics & Strategies, or suggest a feature in "Ideas & Feature Requests".

Fact: You're also more likely to get a reply if you deliberately post in General than the correct subforum. You might get told off, sure, but at least you get replies.

The strategies subforum is especially disappointing. Would hope it be the goto place for discussing the latest war strats but sadly no. For that, YouTube is the better place. Post here and prepare for no reply for hours.

So may I humbly suggest moderators, specialists and other forum elders to venture out of the usual sections? There are lots of idea requests for example, that get fewer than 50 views in one day. Even if its a bad idea, ruled out idea, a reply would generate more eyeballs and more discussion. Same for the strategy subforum. I would imagine if you're an avid coc player you'd love to talk tactics, but strangely that doesn't seem the case here. I just saw a request for clan war strategy that went unanswered for over 3 hours. It wasn't because no specialists and moderators were around because you still see their replies in General.

I know there's no obligations cos you are all volunteers, but just a spreading of the love around would be great for the forum IMHO. That is all.

I think that Ideas & Features Request Sub-Forum is also very active!

Totally agree with you. I had similar reflection about a year ago here, specifically about IFR, but valid for other subs.
Meanwhile the Clash forums have been reworked, to less subs, and their location changed. Still maybe there is too many subs for new forum members to post adequately, and for these posts to be read ...
It is an evolving situation, as some members also ask for more subs (like a ‘Games’ sub).

One idea, that some forumers use: try the “New post’ or the ‘quick link’ at top right in full site, ‘today’s posts’... both show you the latest 100 posts made anywhere in the forums.

Personally, I only visit a few subs, bug and general being my tops.

But, indeed : the more subs the less each sub gets attention. Some areas don’t see posts in days.

PS: not saying that the CR rework was a positive one neither.

Your ideas are just very interesting and amazing, I totally agree with you about this situation ;)

With regards to IFR, I'm convinced that certain forumers frequent it solely to act massively inconvenienced by pretending that they're forced to tell the OP their idea is ruled out. Even when it's not.

A lot of them also decide to attack the OP for how their post is written rather than the content.

One time I found one of them livestream bots' thread in the ideas section that had been sitting there for 22 hours

Thanks for the replies. I was beginning to wonder if I should have posted this in General, haha

I love Clan Talk. But my usual fellow conspirators disappeared. There were four of us that haunted that thread together at the same time... it seems the other three have disappeared...
