Should I upgrade my TH to Level 9?

Okay first of all sorry for this post as I know you see ones like this every day!
I know my base is not very close to maxed but my clan leader and other members of my clan are all urging e to upgrade to TH9 within he next week! The reason I want to do this is becuase my current clan is upping requirements to Level 6 Archers in a month and I would like to stay a part of it!
I have also been told that point defenses are not that important for a farming base and as long as my Splash defences are maxed then I should be good to go!
Please don't just reply saying Always Max your base and nothing else and please give me some ideas of which things ARE vital to max or if I should just take the leap now! I am good farmer with 200m+ Gold grab so take that into consideration when answering!

It's really up to you, what you could do is stay in the clan and max and when the requirements kick in, leave the clan until you get the archers. It would be wise to stay and max, even if the clan ups it's requirements. As I said before, it is really up to you.

First of all. Your clan is NOT nice when forcing their players to upgrade the th premature, seriously? Might consider leaving?

And second, go to th9 and farm walls. :)

They aren't forcing me to upgrade my TH! :) They just want me to stay in the clan instead of the other thing which would be to leave to go to one of our two soon to be 3 feeders! The Centum Family Rules! Should I got to TH9 to farm walls like you?

It's rude IMO to raise the reqs and kick the members which are already in. Nvm :)

Wait, Centurae is telling you to go preemie?

I would at the bear minimum finish your walls if you are gonna go early (I understand your current design doesn't rely on those purple walls, but at th9 you will need a new design).

Your splash looks good, but given the fact that you have walls to do and you are sitting on 5 inactive builders I would probably just wait it out man. No need for you to rush to th9. You can't be that far from maxing so if you need to drop down a clan for a couple weeks it shouldn't be too bad.

**disregard the part about inactive builders. I saw you mentioned it in your OP and I assume it is due to the push just ending.

who cares about defense anyway.. Walls looks much more hardcore and cooler. :cool:

I would agree that in certain cases it is good and I have been pretty vocal on Glassboard about it. I wrote a thread on it a while back (http://forum.supercell.net/showthrea...ht=making+case).

I think that case only applies if you have maxed your walls at TH8. Just a consideration.

imo walls are vastly overrated you are more than ready to go in that respect.

You do have a long way to go for the telsa and that is somewhat what concerning. If you plan to continue farming at low trophy levels what % of attacks are against th7s? It will take some time to upgrade your elixer storage and lab before you can start the l6 archer upgrade.

If it were me I'd stay at TH8 until I couldn't keep all my builders busy aka teslas but it's really up to you. You really won't have too hard of a time with Th9 considering your base. (I'm a fresh th9 sig outdated)

Big boo to your clan for encouraging premie ths to benefit themselves though.

Sorry, if half your walls are skull walls at TH8, in no way should your base be considered "premie".

You are plenty ready to go to TH 9. Be a good clanmate and get those lev 6 archers to donate.

If you are that far along in your walls it makes no sense to stay TH8 to max everything when considering the reasoning you gave (still agree with others that say boooo to the clan for trying to promote premmie upgrading) ...

I would put 3 builders on Teslas straight away and keep them going as far as they can get, I'd put a 4th builder and 5th on AD then when you start your last AD upgrade put 5th builder on TH. Good luck.

Cannons and AT are easy enough to get going at TH9, but you are going to be easy prey for a good month+ once you upgrade...if you can live with that then go up. :)

Do those teslas, walls, and ADs, and then go up. You should be able to farm the walls during the upgrade time, so put all builders on teslas, then after a couple of weeks of teslas, you should be able to upgrade your TH. You might be a week late with the level 6 archers, but I'm sure your clan won't mind. Trust me, it will be beneficial in the long run.

Boo to the clan for trying to promote premmie upgrading.

Max your stuff out excluding walls if you want. Be patient. It pays off.

I think it is ok for you to go to th9. Probably wouldn't cause much trouble.
On the other hand, I really don't like a clan pushing you to upgrade. This is YOUR game and you are free to choose what you want to do with your base. Lv6 archers are not that big a difference, since you can only give 5 archers, I seriously doubt 5 lv5 archers will be a disaster for anyone and 5 lv6 archers would save the day big time. You can donate wizards or dragons, which would be better than archers anyway. I never cared for the level of archers, because I prefer to have dragons.

I wouldnt, You got max walls, Splash towers, But Cannons and AT?They are the eisient to max! Max thos first, then if you still dont feel like quitting TH 8, do your AD, Baracks, And Teslas. Hope this Helps!

No Id stay a bit longer for those point defense

Your choice, although I would recommend getting your teslas to at least level 4.

That sounds just like me. Proud prem th9 with good walls. :)

Upgrade your teslas... and get all barracks to at least lvl9. It'll make life easier when in TH9

Hey bronze destroyer, I don't think you should move on. Just upgrade the cannons and stuff. Be a little more patient. If you don't make it in time, you can join me in centuria!

To be honest i think you should wait it out. Your so close to maxing out TH8 at this point you should just do it correctly. If you need to go chill in another clan for a few more weeks until your done, i think that would be the better choice than going up now with your current base.

Had you had all lvl7 walls but all other defenses maxxed out it would be a different story but with your defenses at the current level, i would say its not a good choice.

If you cant cut the RQ's then join another clan, where you can be appreciated more.

You still have quite a lot to do imo. Let no one demand anything of you! :p

Max ALL your defenses before upgrading to TH9.

Loot will be much much smaller in TH9.

And get your teslas upgraded ASAP!

Make the most of the farming at th8 as it only gets harder the quicker you move up. If you have been in your clan for a good amount of time they shouldn't ask you to leave nor kick you, simply out of respect and appreciation... If they do then I'd advise a new clan!

Resist the urge to move up!
