Crystal Trophy Hunting Army w/ NO SPELLS?

Heyyyyy guys, I'm a th8 and my highest trophies is ~2200, which came during the 1 spell boost thing and I used 30 Balloons, 25 Minions along with 2 Rage and 1 Lightning for cc. Now my problem is I need an army which I can get 1/2 stars with which doesn't require spells to be successful (spells takes way longer than army train time). Any suggestions? Below is a list of armies which I have used but ideally require the use of spells.
Balloons
Hogs (Heal spells)
Dragons (Rage)

My target for this trophy push is 2400, and all of my troops are maxed for th8 apart from all de troops except minions.

Barch works up to champ / master. Check up Goldstar army by Comsii on youtube. Cheap and fast to build. Way lower THs than TH8 have sniped their ways to champ, as well. Happy hunting!

edit: Try to pick easier bases so you don't need to Light mortars - high level mortars can be a menace with this strategy.

I've been using barcher to get back to crystal from farming @ ~1500, I didn't realise it could get me that far. From my previous time at Crystal 2 I found barcher became ineffective because of all of the xbows around. I'll check out that guy's channel. Thanks for the tips!

When you trophy push do you typically disregard resources so as to stay focused on trophies and getting that 50% only?(especially for BA)

and if yes then how do you manage to continue your upgrades and handle your other resource dependent issues

I attempted to farm in crystal but I personally see no efficient way to make a profit while gaining trophies at the same time while in those leagues

Depends on your troop level. I am currently farming in crystal for DE with BAM, works well with my current 6/6/3 levels. Soon to be 6/6/5.

I used 8 drag 18 minion 4 archers and 3 lightning and im 38 cups away from masters. Attack with 8 drags, but train one extra to donate :-) You wont waste anytime.

Yeah thats the problem, it gets very, V.E.R.Y difficult to maintain trophies and farm loot as there are hardly any full collectors to be found unfortunately :(

Yeah like I said in my post my troops are max for th8, so level 5 BA and level 4 minions. Not quite as powerful as level 6 D:

I'd be interested to know how this actually works, I've found with my dragon army (40 archers to take care of cc/bk/aq and to clear a few outside buildings not to distract dragons + 8 dragons) if they have just 1 well placed high level air defence it can take care of a couple of dragons no problem (especially when the dragon is busy with a storage!)

There are collector bases in Crystal, you just have to press Next a lot to find them, and of course it varies on time of day / week. I farmed with a golem + archers, or 6 giants + archers, at TH8. Hard to keep trophies going up, but if you can master getting 50% it's possible; have lightning spells on hand just in case, and archers in the clan castle.
For dragons, you need to rage them through the tough bits; with no spells, only works on bases with poor air def.
Lastly, balloons + minions can work, with no spells, but you have to pick on bases with poor layout and lower level wiz towers / air def. These exist up to about Crystal 2, if you look around.
