Advice TH9 army

Hi everyone. I'm new in the Forum and after a while spent looking for an answer for my problem i've decided to create a brand new post, surely u'll redirect me to an earlier thread but it seems that it don't exist.


I've got an early th9 base with lv5 troops and I'm finding really hard to get resources while attacking and in defense I can't farm because everytime i'm attacked they don't stop to the th but they go for the resources.


So I was wondering if someone could give me some advices about the army composition and the trophies level to get as gold as possible to upgrade the defences and reach a normal th9 base.
Also the base layout which i'm attaching: i've copied it from a post here, but i'm not sure that will work with this low level of walls and defences.

archers and barbs + 4 wbs. i farm around 1600 and i am maxed on gold(8 mil) with no free builder.

Hi Boltz welcome to the forum. I'd recommend a BAM army. I set 2 barrack on archers and barbs and 2 on minions. I also sprinkle in a few goblins. I search lower than soccerdude around 1250. You get lots of weaker inactive bases there. If you farm an inactive base then you will be unlikely to get revenged, and at that lower level less likely to get targeted by bases that can take your gold.

Also I expect you hit mines rather than stores but just in case you don't then hit those instead. You only need a handful of troops to take out mines and if all builders are asleep then the liklehood is that the gold is in those rather than the stores.

The replies so far should definetly point you in the right direction. If you didn't already, try to work on your Army Camps so you get 220 army space ASAP, it really helps. What I did in the start was that I carried around 3 giants + 5 WBs (train giant+WB in 3 barracks and 2 WBs in the 4th) + around 8-16 goblins, followed by barbs in 2 barracks and archers in the other 2. In addition to this I used 10-16 minions, varying from raid to raid. I moved about in gold 2-3 and tried to find collector raids or easy storage raids, and it worked out pretty well.

Personally, i would say BAM is your best option. Cheap, quick to train and very effective.
Barracks 1&2: barbarians.
barracks 3&4: archers.
Dark barracks: both minions.

Base: if its a design your looking for, if would encourage you to use mine. I've had great feedback from the clashers that have used it. Works like a dream! http://forum.supercell.net/showthrea...9-farming-base

Pic works now, and it's a good layout to use for early TH9 bases. Just do yourself a favor and DON'T upgrade your Town Hall before all of your defenses are maxed, and preferably walls lvl 8. I would start focusing on WTs if I were you, and maybe a second xbow when you can, preferably max it ASAP. Some of your defenses are a bit underleveled, but a lvl 3 xbow will scare off loads of attackers, although it might be a pain to accumulate the gold for it and wait for the upgrade time.

Thanks Rastis, I will not upgrade the th, i've got wrong once, think it's enough! I have started with BAM attacks suggested from you and the other guys and it's great! I've made 2.500.000 in a day. I'm near to the second xbow.. would you suggest to start with it?

About the base, i've just 3 deposit each now, should i build also the 4th?

for the lvl3 Xbow... it's just a dream, i can't even store that gold!
