When farm visitors offer to buy items, ie large numbers of axes etc there should be a confirm flag before this transaction goes ahead. In recent months I have lost 400 axes because I clicked on the wrong banner because I was tired or not concentrating. Tonight I lost a large amount of saws. Next time I will be deleting the game. Level 109.
I'm assuming you mean the farm visitors? (I've never had a "town" visitor ask for axes). I once accidentally trashed a derby task that I spent all day on (this was prior to the new confirmation notice). I even contacted support to see if they could help, but their advice was for me to be "more careful" in my actions.
I feel your pain, OP. Done the same twice now. Lost axes the first time, saws the 2nd.
After the first time I was super careful but the second time I wasn't even clicking on visitors, instead I was going for a truck order!
Would agree, a confirmation button would be useful.
I too have fallen foul of this more than once - one time for 230 pickaxes - a confirmation button would be most welcome

Why do they have to ask for tools in the first place? I don't think there are too many players waiting for visitors to take their axes, saws or mining tools.
The farm visitors will ask for the top 2 or 3 items that you have in your barn, excluding EM’s. So if you have lots of axes and saws they will ask for them. Unfortunately at one time or another most players will accidentally hit the button to sell them. For me, I find it best to ignore the little buggers. I will even place a tree that will block them from my view.
i think the visitors just shouldn't ask for them. they already do not ask for EMs... town visitors do not ask for them, nor do trucks or boats. i don't see why they should... nobody wants to sell them, even during visitor events.
That you lose things to the Farm visitors is sad but not much to do abut it ,
If as I you do alot of grow wheat and corn to get , mineing things ,saws ,axes and Upgrad things ,
The visitors are much faster way to remove the wheat and corn then it is to put it in the shop .
So the visitors is a necessary thing , noone is perfect so even if you are carfully will you do a miss some times ,
I did lose 130 cream to Greg a few weeks ago , Not much to do only to be happy anyway I think ,
I think sooner or later we all sell something to the visitors we didn’t intend to.
It causes me to be extra cautious.
Most of the time I leave the visitor asking for barn items right there. From the end of one visitor event to the beginning of the next he/she stays by the house pleading for something like peach pie.
So normally I only have visitors asking for silo items. I only ever sell them wheat unless it’s a Visitor Event.
Have also found that that if my axes or saws are plentiful enough to be in the top two barn items I have more than I need.
I want to agree. It doesn’t happen often enough to be a real pain, but when it does it hurts. I sold that precocious child my saws quite by accident about 6 weeks ago and my farm still hasn’t recovered. Axes I would not have minded as much but saws don’t come easily to my farm and I like having lots of fruit trees to meet my needs.
Pretty sure we have all "been there, done that" with this. It's super frustrating because I am pretty sure 99% of the player base of this game feels that them asking for those items is ridiculous. This hits especially hard if you spent 3 days of Tom getting them, only to have them accidentally sent back into the Hay Day black hole (that is what happened to me :mad:).
Large scale farming operations require a hefty amount of them, so you need to store them up. I know I have used over 50 of each in one day, if needed. Until something is done, I learned to keep my extra saws and axes in a second account. I expanded the barn there to about 500 spaces, so it holds a nice supply of those items without the worry I will send them off.
My best guess is that because Tom can bring them to you, the visitors can ask for them.Quote:

I wish they'd ask for random stuff and not just the top 3 items or things you're totally out of. That's one of the reasons I've never been overly fond of this event: after you've sold the first batch of XYZ product you hoarded and it puts it below the top 3 you are stuck with far more than you want of that product unless you dump other items to bump it back up again. I realize many love this event and I am one of the few who dislikes it, I would just much prefer it if the requests were totally random.
