I neeeed more coin I just got to lv 17 and I need the ship thingy.
currently what I do to get money is to buy cheap things and sell them for maxed out prices. but I need more coins.
any suggestions on how to get more money. pretty sure there is another thread on this somewhere
anyone? ....

another way is to go for more coinage rather than xp's in your truck orders.
To increase your money be a merchant-forget the truck orders. Grow crops galore, harvest your eggs, milk, bacon, make anything your machines can and sell as constantly as you can. Also, spend some $$ on bushes and trees, use the fruit you need for machines and sell the rest.
Ditto what mickeydoodle said - forget truck orders (and boat orders too after this event), sell in your road side stand (RSS) for a few days and you'll be rolling in gold coins. Promise.
Oh, and you have to stop shopping, too, for the most part. Spend a few days building your bank account first, THEN start shopping for expansion items.
My advice for beginners it to completely ignore truck order and boat orders, or in your case, just the former since you haven't restored the dock yet. Keep harvesting from your fields, animals and machines and sell everything full price. If you're actively, grow any of the 5 basic crops (wheat, corn, carrot, soybean and sugar cane), if you have limited slos in your RSS, you might want to stick to the 3 last mentioned crops but investing some of your diamonds and open some more RSS slots early on is really helpful. You'll probably end up opening a few later on so might as well do it now and get to start using them early.
Don't sell ingredients like sugar and dairy as is, make a finished product with it instead like pancakes and other sugar/dairy based items once you've unlocked more machines.
If this is not enough, also browse through the newspaper buying marked down iems and resell full price.
Also, don't spend you coins on decorating your farm (unless that's what you're really into), you can do that further down the line when you have more machines and easily make more coins. With that said, sell all your LEM (deeds, mallets and stakes). As it's not urgent to expand your farm at this stage. They'll sell in seconds at full price. However, save BEM and SEM (barn and silo expansion materials) as it's really important to keep expanding your barn and silo so you can hold more foods and crops.
I've just reached L 67. I play on my own, without benefit of Facebook etc, but managed to attract a few loyal followers early on, mainly because I made animal feed by the bucket load and sold it as often as I could in my RSS, and we help each other out most days. Animal feed always sells quickly. I never sold eggs or bacon or B&E in the RSS because everyone sells them; I only sell them to Tilly and Mike and the gang, and that helped me level up. I find that when I help others, I usually find a toolbox that gives me coin soon after. Truck orders are better than selling goods in the RSS, because of the XP, which helps you level up, which gives you more dirt so you can grow more crops. At least, that's what I found. BTW - hold off becoming a slave to the boat as long as you can!Quote:
