Spell with Elixer ??? Only the reason COC wants more money

how clash of clans wants more money ?
Farmer they don't gem to upgrade - no money for coc ( and its good for farmers they can spend gold on wall which is hard to upgrade once the reach high level they dont need gold anymore only elixir)

Only trophy player they spend money to upgrade or make troops ( troops cost elixir and spell cost elixir)
After everything upgraded they dont need gold. Gold for what ? just to search game ? one raid gives 200k gold .
this means every battle you will loose elixir
here is mathematically details
troops cost
approx------250k elixir
spell cost.....150k elixir
won battle--- (200k elixir)
Bonus--------(120k) elixir
Total loss for trophy player
80k elixir approx . every battle . I calculated approx because we can find 300k elixir base also but we cant win 100% . if you we talk about dark troops we all know its hard to collect dark elixir that stupid.

This means clash of clans forcing the people who love clash of clans heartly spend money lol you must .

top player cant attack without spending money ( buy elixir buy elixir your army camp is empty) or attack once in week

Right. Well I personally love the new change. When I farm DE and walls at the same time, I won't have to continuously dump gold into spells, taking away from my walls. I will have finished all my elixir upgrades, so what use is it anymore? And about your post - I think it's the opposite. This way you will never have to spend gems to fill gold storage, only elixir and dark elixir.

yes but trophy player dont need gold anymore but after new update must by resources

only below 2000 trophies they are good but when they come up above 2000 trophies they will realise.

1. Resources shouldn't matter as much trophy pushing
2. I'm sure you need a lot of gold. Searching gold adds up, and I am sure you do not have all gold upgrades
3. Is it bad for supercell to need more money? More money means more updates. I was actually hoping spells would take elixr I can use them for farming now.

i dont agree cause my friend he upgraded everything fully . Now he dont need gold anymore . he needs gold just to search battle. but 1 raid gives more than 200k with bonus. but every battle he loss elixir even won with 100% perfect. he is stop playing now.

If he upgraded everything fully. He cant shall out a few gems or learn how to raid efficiently. Im assuming he gemmed.

I find this an interesting thread, can anymore who have been spending the last week in high trophy ranges provide feedback?

The need for a more expensive army and spells is no doubt apparent up high, like Masters high. Spending big on an army and spells would really burn a hole in your elixir.

I am at TH8, level 87. I like to max out everything before upgrade my TH. I like the switch from gold to elixir for Spells. I need gold to max my defenses and this help me save gold. In addition, gold is for defense and elixir is for offense and this switch make sense. I am not sure what will happen when I get to max TH10, and no longer need gold? Perhaps a new wall level will solve the problem. And if I ever in need of elixir, I will just farm with archers and get back all of my elixir. But that is a long way away and I don't know if I would still play COC by then.

Perhaps infernal towers and X-bowl should be filled with gold. That would truly make gold is for defense and elixir is for offense. Dark Elixir is for both offense and defense.

1. If you don't need gold then you're already spending too much on the game as it is, this shouldn't bother you.
2. If you're farming correctly you aren't using that many spells
3. If you're farming correctly elixir isn't a problem (ever).
4. Supercell is running a business, they obviously need money to keep the game going
5. Nobody is forcing you to spend money on elixir, if you run out just wait 2 hours for your collectors and you have an army
6. Top players already spend money gemming troops and buying elixir, this will barely affect them
7. The grammar is atrocious.

who says you have to spend your spells every match? If you are farming then elixr ins't important but if you are pushing, then i can see the issue. However since you are pushing you should be protecting elixir anyways so you don't lose as much when defending

I had 3 mil elexir with th8 at 2346, cant understand why people are complaining?

If you have little elexir there is alot of reasons:
1. Your defense suck
2. Your setup suck
3. You suck (attacking)
4. Conclusion: A Noob who's lost in the game and needs help, what to do? Get serious about 1,2,3!

majority of farmers wont understand how the switch of eli to make spells eventually depletes available eli for high lvl non gemming trophy players. so, before everyone starts giving useful farming tips on saving eli, try to understand the difficulty that some players are experiencing. try trophy pushng into master and get a sense of how importnt eli is, esp when not gemming.

Part of the skill of the game is to day...dah...DAHHHH manage your resources. It's an economic....CUMULATIVE strategy game. It's why the game is so good.

Trophies, gold , elixir and DE they are all currency. Gems are the TRUMP $ in terms of currency. If you can't manage your resources at that trophy level and win battles consistently...drop down where you can do so.

The main reason most farm is that they don't want to ♥♥♥♥♥♥ their base development for the one currency in the game that offers them less of what they can get more of, with less of them. ;)

How's that for grammar?

I do think they need to change X-Bows to being loaded with Gold...since there is now supposed to be a strict delineation between attack costing Elixir and defence costing Gold.

Yes the change puts more pressure on elixir when trophy hunting, but it also does increase the tactic side. I simply can not go in and use all my spells, they become more a strategic thing to be used at a crucial moment to tip the balance in my favour. I believe this was the idea all along and the higher I push the more need for spells I have asmy troops level simply is not enough for the defensies I counter.

All in all. I like the change and consider it adding a interesting tactical side to the game.

If ur farming, spells should only be used in an emergency, it's very rare though
If ur trophy hunting resources are sacrificed in pursuit of trophies
You'd rather pay gold for spells when there are way more things (including those expensive walls) that need gold upgrades?
Maybe you should learn to farm without dropping your spells

During my last trophy push I used balloonians, which cost 112K elixir. I was actually balancing on the point that my push would end purely for the reason that I would run out of elixir. 1-2 losses in a row meant a big hit on my elixir storage. Used rage spells of 30K each and with the spell boost they really made a difference, but consider now adding that 30-90K on top of that 112K that the troops cost. End result is that for a nongemming trophy hunter the change does mean raiding will be slower and the chance of ending a push as one runs out of elixir is a real concern. Before the change could get some gold and some elixir from raids to cover for the cost of the army used to keep on pushing.

right now you are fine with switch. but are you gonna farm forever or wants to play for trophy ??
if you go for trophy and you not spending gems. you will get stuck at master league. remember that. you will see.

-There's a lot of stupid farmers posting on this thread. Especially the post that said farmers shouldn't need to use spells. If that's the case, then you made the OP's point for him- the change exclusively affects trophy hunters since they are apparently the only players that should use spells.
-There has never necessarily been an overflow of elixer, it's just that everyone prioritizes elixer upgrades when they first reach a town hall and then farm for walls at the end. As a farmer that got to TH9 a few weeks ago, I found that the spell cost switch has noticeably affected my progress. I basically cannot use spells now.
-Anyways, I will probably like it in a few weeks when I'm upgrading walls, but it just shifted resource imbalance from the final stages of a town hall to the beginning stages. This was not a good move in my opinion.
