Any you elected not to purchase? Why?
I could hardly wait to get all available items.
Obviously, this doesn't apply to you if you are missing items due to level restrictions.

No. I am a Hay Day completionist :P.
I'm not sure if I instantly got ALL the animals available (Maybe I waited a while until I had more coins or something), and I definitely took a while to upgrade my lobster pool and duck salon, but I have it all.
I don't have all the pets yet, though.
I have all of everything, including opening all slots on buildings (except couple slots left on each of the smelters) and net maker. Only have 4 slots open on lure maker. All town buildings upgraded in full, but not train (can pick up 4). Now that they have changed it so you can go from town to town, i might work on that.
On my main farm, I purchased every building, though I did have some regrets and delayed the hat maker for several months. I hide my sewing machine behind my barn in the unusable upper corner. As well I hide others, especially the candy machine!
i did not buy any horses or donkeys... don’t like them
i still have one puppy and dog to buy... don’t know why :p
on my second farm, I did not buy the candy maker, jewelry maker, only got one smelter (recently), sushi maker and I did not open the duck salon.
why? Hindsight :smirk:
oh! And my daughter bought a sheep pen and decided she did not want anymore sheep, so it is still empty out of respect for her XD
I have everything apart from 6 chickens and four goats. I have never felt I needed them and I don’t like the goats.
GymGirl, what do you do if you get goat task? Obviously you wouldn't take that task but in MD and future MD?
Thanks
I was opted out this derby. I am not sure but at this stage I still have no intention of buying any more of either.
I don’t like the goats either and will not buy them. What did I do when I got goats milk for a mystery task? I trashed it lol.
I find HayDay the perfect game to play, as there is no right or wrong way to play. As well there are many reasons that people play. For some it’s relaxation and others it’s a challenge to get ‘everything’ or a certain amount of coin.
Each one of us develops our game differently. I found it quite fun to find out many of the ‘secrets’ on my own. It was the excitement of mining and getting diamonds, too. Or dropping the first mystery net, and getting the much coveted pearl.
And while it is interesting to learn about how/why other players manage their farm, I feel it’s a personal choice, that doesn’t need to be scrutinized by others.
I find it most interesting to learn how other farms operate. I never realized so many dislike goats.
I think if I could get by with fewer of any of the farm animals, it'd be the chickens. Eggs are readily available.
It's equally interesting to learn how they cope without a specific machine or animal.
My fear was always not finding what I needed if I didn't have all of the items available.
Fwiw, I don't consider this topic scrutinization. It's no dif' than discussing derby tasks, point value of tasks, number of tasks done, derby level, etc., etc. no one has to reply if they feel the info is to "private" to discuss.
During the course of MD the topic of not having certain items was discussed. We even heard of one person pulling a town task yet he had no town.
The only things I don't have are some of the animals. I only have 9 sheep, and I don't need any more. I recently added four more goats, bringing my total to 8, as I got tired of having to rely on RSSs for goat milk, which can sometimes be hard to find, although I now find myself with a surplus of goat milk, so maybe I should only have added 2 more instead of 4. At least goat milk sells easily. I did add them right before the MD fearing I would get a goat milk task, which I thought would be completely impossible with only 4 goats.
I have never done a sheep or goat milk task, and even if I had all of them I still probably would not take them. If they show up in a MD then I would probably decide to either do the task, or if its impossible, trash it and make it up with a 10th task.
I guess I could do without sheep, now that you mention them. I generally by wool. Too bad we can't put the animals in storage if, at some point, we decide we can get by without them.
I would not buy the rest if I got a mystery task for goat milk either. I had been thinking about increasing my goat population for awhile, the possibility of a goat milk mystery task was the catalyst that convinced me to get some more. But I definitely have no use for 12 of them, 8 is more than enough.
I got a lot of my machines late. Not because of lack of money but because of lack of barn space to put the products in.
Also resisted buying the loom, the sewing machine and opening the mine and the fishing area mostly because none of that felt like farming. My goats and sheep hung out at remote areas of my farm.
But little by little I got each one and it was fun waiting on these things to become available for use and then start to use them. On my timetable. Im still a little surprised that my jewelry maker is mastered on both farms as it seems I rarely use them.
I have everything on my main farm and the only thing my second farm doesn’t have is the pasta kitchen. The dairy demands are just too much for that one for me to need 2.
my poor chickens though don’t get much rest. They supply both my farms and I sometimes have extra to sell.
Which is better to buy first? , sushi bar or salad bar or sandwich bar? . I skipped buying the flower shop coz flowers are all over the newspaper ads 😂
For a while, I avoided having all of the livestock. Kept only 2 of each pen. Eventually, with derby competition, I built the rest of them.
I've always tried to keep my town buildings upgraded to as high as I can go for reputation, as well as obtain every building available for my level.
For a little while, The last 4 machines (pasta, hot dog, taco, tea) I was a little behind on as I rubbed pennies to buy them.
I also just obtained all of my farm pets last week.
I have all the buildings and animals available. Still working on the number of production slots and town upgrades.
I don't have all the pets yet - getting those purple vouchers is a real challenge for me.
I try to complete as much as I can. I finished the last year working on my land expansion (done) and fishing book (done). The next goal is getting all the pets (some horses and donkeys are still missing). Maybe one day completing the Sanctuary will become feasible, too :smirk:
