I'm thinking my sushi bar might go right on the back corner of my house.... with a conveyor belt running right into my kitchen, cause yeah
I'm early on here so I still have a few of the basic machines to buy.
I like the idea of new machines for people who are so advanced in the game that they need something new. I think the sushi machine also is a nod to the large number of Asian players.
When I look at the farms with th gold statues, gold walls, and huge hotel or castle like buildings made out of piled up walls, wells, or outhouses, I enjoy seeing them and the make me ooh and ahh or giggle (castle made out of piled up outhouses!!!!)' but that is not my ideas of a farm. To me a farm is that traditional NE Pennsylvania dairy farm because that is the type of farm I've actually visited. I am used to farmers markets selling other stuff too like pies, jellies, pickles, so I buy into making the more advanced items.
I agree about seeing more variety with the loom - how about gloves, scarves, and hose hold linens? I'd like t see something else with the grill also and something that is low time and materials so people will stop flooding the market with bacon and eggs.
I'd also like to see more veggies and the addition of herbs. With herbs we could make amazing omelette s on the grill. Cucumbers could be sold or made into pickles.
With the animals I would like turkeys (for thanksgiving). I appreciate that people are anti killing of animals, but if we can get bacon from our pigs without killing them, how about getting lamb from the Sheep and beef from our cows. I really would like another protein to cook with other than bacon and fish. I'm always having to buy fish and it is hard to find. I have to get more into the routine of fishing for myself but I am trying to be careful with my vouchers.
Thanks for listening. I now this isn't the place for suggestions, but since you've all been around longer than me, you've seen a lot and know what's been done in the past.
Back to my boat orders.....
Excellent suggestions all, Dawnica!! Just a note on the fish, you can use the red lures (worms) for free and not have to use your vouchers. I use these lures exclusively and will continue to do so until I obtain all the animals I want. The red lures take the longest to make (4 hours), but if you give yourself a day or two of no fishing then you will have built up a good supply of them and can then go fishing to your heart's content, always keeping some in production. Free is good!!
It is a question of geography. When I walk out my door, I am 5 minutes from falling into the Pacific Ocean. We have 6 sushi bars within walking distance and fish make up a large part of our diets here. I've just been watching seiners catching salmon this week so yes, my farm would definitely make sushi! And I can't wait to make healthy Greek salads. Mediterranean players would see all those products as entirely appropriate. I actually love the international quality of this game and wish there were more like it. It's my little bit of United Nations, and I'm in charge... woohoo!
I think red lures take 1 1/2 hours.
You don't need vouchers to fish you can fish for free using worm baited hooks & the red nets. I fish to fill orders rather than for competition & haven't had to buy fish. (But I do have 5 fishing areas.) it's worth spending your free coins on the other nets (as soon as you have 5 then you can't spend them by mistake) the 5coin nets get you other stuff as well as fish & is the only way to get a pearl if you're lucky.
As for this thread topic I don't really mind what comes along next, this is the only game I've found on my iPhone that's worth playing & I can't fault it really. I haven't had this much genuine fun since I was young & played board games with my friends.
I do think that this is more than a game for a lot of people & it seems to be that it's becoming a place where we would like to live, a fairer more caring society than most of us are forced to be part of. (Or am I alone in feeling this way?) (this bit should've been in the "it's just a game" thread, sorry :-)
