How to get gold fast?

I'm TH level 8 and in need of gold (more than elixir). What would be the best strategy for the quickest way to earn gold. Constant attacking? If so, what army composition? A one week shield with boosted mines? Or just farming (around what trophy range?) to get the free 12 hour shield and hope my base doesn't get destroyed 100%?

For constant raiding, you could use the BAM (barbarians, archers, minions) or the BAG (barbarians, archers, goblins).
For BAM:
2 barracks for barbarians
2 barracks for archers
2 dark barracks for minions

For BAG:
1 barrack for barbs
2 barracks for archers
1 barrack for goblins

and re-fill your barracks before you start raiding each time.

I go to around 1550-1700 trophys and farm around that range, I usually use either 200 archers or 100 archers and 100 goblins

Both of your army layouts were terrible :/

I would have 40 gobs 3' giants(a distraction),5 wb,60 archers 45 barbs

they're not terrible you just don't know how to use them

If you think bam is terrible you have no idea how to use it. Can we see a picture of your base? I doubt you have well upgraded walls defenses etc.

Buy gems with real money. Use the gems to buy you gold. :p
